FastDrivers System Design Project: Requirements and Design

This project report details the design and implementation of a new information system for FastDrivers, a driving school. The case study highlights the need for improved communication and automation. Case Study:
The FasrDrivers provide the service of giving driving lessons to the clients. The
organization currently need an information system so that all the processes can be improved. A
website for the clients can improve the communication between the external users and
organization.
Benefits from the System: The information system will provide the following benefit to
FastDrivers.
i. First of all, the communication will improve drastically. The external entities of
the organization can reach to customer representatives of the organization very
efficiently using the website. They can communicate with the organization any
time they want. The system will allow the internal entities to be communicating
freely.
ii. The proposed website will allow FastDrivers to go beyond geographical
boundaries and expand their business. The organization provide very high quality
and customer centric service. With the help of the website, it will be very easy to
expand business.
iii. Accessibility to the system information and functions will be extremely high. The
users of the system can login to the system and access functions that are
authorized to them at anytime and anywhere only if internet connectivity is
available.

iv. The most crucial benefit is automation of process. The internal staff of
FastDrivers will not need to do any paper based works. All the back processes
will be automated.
Project Scope:
The scopes of the project are as following.
i. Implementing automation process organization wide
ii. Implementing better communication among internal users and external users and
organization
iii. Making the objectives of FastDrivers into reality
iv. Implementing an operation that can track activities organization wide

Major Functions of System:
Authentication: The system authenticate if the user is available in the system. The
authentication is done based on user login id and password.
Registration: The registration process is vital for placing the user on an authorization
level. The user provide all their details and the system validate and store all the data into
database.

Service booking: The users of the website will book services. They will select the service
they want to book and make payment to confirm the service. The system will automatically
arrange those services and notify the internal staff about which service to be done.
