The budget on education which is released by the Federal Government which states that
the budget will help the States and the school so that it can provide the high quality education to
all the aspiring students of the country (Soffen & Lu 2017). The budget also focuses on the
funding for the college students and also focuses on making the education for the college
students more affordable.
POLICY ACTIONS TO RFEDUCE THE NEAR FUTURE:
The budget also makes a way for the parents to choose the school for their child by
providing the amount of $1.4 billion for the program of choice of school. The budget also
provides some percentage for the education of the children having disabilities and the children
are in the most vulnerable population. The budget also aims to eliminate the funding or reduce
the funding on the programs which are not showing fruitful results. On the other hand, Trump’s
budget had proposed that many of the federal budgets remained same and it also has number of
deep cuts in K-12 and higher education. Among many cuts in the Trump’s budget in 2017, the
hardest hit, the most problematic was work-study program which are provided to the college
students of America. This decision mainly affected the students who reside from the poor family.
This will also affect the students to gain loan from the bank and hence it will drastically affects
the students as they will not gain the loan from the education.

to improve the education system of the country (Reardon, Tollefson & Ross, 2017). They have
invested $13 billion dollar in the program known as IDEA, which supports students who require
some special needs. On the other hand, Trump’s budget on Department of Education has
proposed of a program known as FOCUS to support the children success by providing $1 billion
dollar. The proposed amount for the education program to compensate the amount allocated to
the Department of Defense. This might become problem in the future as the less educated
students and hence as whole industries need to import manpower from other parts of the world
and in a way the GDP will also reduce because of the less manpower.
BUDGET SPENDING MADE FOR LONG TERM:
The proposed budget made by the Federal government has produced different kinds of
investment structure which are directly related with the development of the country in every
aspect including Department of Education, Department of Agriculture and many more. On the
other hand, it can be clearly observed that the budget’s maximum amount spend for the
Department of Defense and hence the other parts are affected due to lack of funding. Due to this
development of the country will be slow down.
MAJOR ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM:
In Federal budget there are proposed program for the Department of Education was
IDEA, which deals with the funding of the students who needs for the special attention and not to
mention the funding. The proposed amount which is provided is $13 billion (Ericsson, 2017).
Trump’s budget has stated about the FOCUS program where $1 billion was the amount allocated
which deals with the funding for the implement certain types of school choice reforms.
