Organizational Summary
Feeding America is one of the non-profit organizations present within the territories of
the United States. The non-profit organization is known for the nationwide network that the
organization maintains within the country. The organization is headquartered in Chicago and
maintains the networking with almost 200 food banks within the national territories. These food
banks are responsible feeding almost 46 million people with the help of the various food
pantries, the soup kitchens, the shelters and the numerous other agencies of the company that are
based on the communities that they aim to serve (Feedingamerica.org., 2018). The community is
known to be the third largest charitable institution that is operational in the United States. The
concerned charitable organization in its initial days was known to put in the effort to collect the
unwanted food from the various grocery stores, produce farms and the local gardens that produce
the food. The concerned non-profit organization is known for the various endeavors that have
been put to use in order to deal with the various hunger issues that are faced by the concerned
members of the society. The organization majorly aims to deal with the matters that pertain to
providing the concerned members of the society with the needed food that might help in the
reduction of the hunger issues that are faced by the residents of the country. The organization
also aims to educate the residents of the country on the various issues dealing with the
eradication of the hunger issues that are faced by the country.
Positive and negative components of the company
The interview of the functional manager of the company helps in shedding light on the
various matters that pertain to the positive components of the company. The functional manager
of the organization tends to put forth the fact that the organization is involve ed in the noble job
of feeding the hungry members of the American society, majorly those that reside in the regions

hunger issues that are existent within the concerned state of Virginia and the United States as a
whole. The organization is known to put forth the matters that pertain to the development of the
various programs that are related to the anti-hunger movements and initiatives that are organized
within the country. The employees of the organization, however, are known to put up with the
cultural discrimination that have been meted out to them by the other employees and the clientele
of the organization. The company has not been reported to have any other issues according to the
interviews that were attended by the employees of the organization in discussion, Feeding
America. The employees of the organization have been known to be dedicated towards the
various goals and the strategies that are followed within the organization. The employees of the
organization are known to be dedicated to the various goals of the concerned organization. The
concerned organization is known for connecting the various food banks within the country that
are dedicated to the purpose of providing the hungry residents of the country with the food that
are deemed to be unwanted or excess by the supermarkets and the other production farms of the
country.

America, is reported to have been facing issues regarding the cultural discrimination as is
reported by the concerned employees of the organization. The employees of the organization
often report to have been facing the issues that are related to the discrimination that they might
face due to the differences in the cultural backgrounds that they belong to. The other issues that
are faced by the company might have been facing pertain to the issues of the integrity,
accountability and other such organizational matters. These factors might lead to the differences
among the workforce of the organization thereby affecting the overall performance of the
organization. The other factors that might have been affecting the organization are the factors

employees of the organization are advised to take part in the various surveys and the seminars
that are organized by the non-profit organization in order to deal with the various matters that
pertain to the fulfilment of the mission and the vision of the company. The company might also
be advised to hold meetings with the various food banks that have been working in collaboration
with the concerned non-profit organization in discussion, Feeding America in order to address
the hunger issues that have been present within the country. The company might also be advised
to hold certain road shows in order to educate the local residents of the country on the depth of
the issues as well as the gravity of the hunger issues that are faced by the residents of the country
at large (Anderson, 2013). The concerned organization might further be advised to organize and
conduct the various seminars at the educational institutions as well as the workplaces in order to
educate the citizens of the country against the ill-effects of the wastage of the food materials
(Murphy, 2014). The residents of the country must be encouraged to donate the excess food to
the concerned food banks wherein the food would be stored for the future uses (Webb, 2013).
The company might also be advised to organize various charitable events that would advertise
the noble act of feeding people who are homeless or are incapable of buying themselves food
thereby undergoing malnourishment which might lead to severe as well as fatal consequences in
the future.
