Introduction
The report is based on managing sustainability and ethics in the construction company by using
effective materials and fewer energy resources. The company was created in London named
Fictive Company based on the construction faces certain ethical and sustainable issues which
will be stated in this report. As I was working in the team so I will learn how to manage the work
effectively within the period and how can be more sustainable (Kolk, 2016). There are many
issues which the planet is facing and which also affects the human. So in this report, my
emotions, values, and how I act in the world related to the matter of sustainability will be stated.
The recommendations will also be given how sustainability can be managed in the more
effective way by the construction company so that the planet and the resources can be used
effectively.

Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability
I have analyzed by reading and learning from the class that managing sustainability is important
as it saves the environment, economy and also the needs for the future generation. Fictive
Company was not maintaining sustainability properly as they were not promoting the jobs in the
construction company and also affecting the environment. Due to the construction, the
environment is badly get affected and even the people health is also harming so to maintain
sustainability is essential (Fanzo, 2015). The human right policies should also be accurately
adopted then only the company can get several benefits but I have seen that no policies have
been adopted in this company. I have learnt that sustainability management is essential in the
organization for stabilizing and reducing the emissions of carbon. To maintain the level of
resources, the green policies have to be developed in the company.
In Construction Company the buildings have to make more environmentally friendly and I have
also evaluated that materials which have to be used for making the buildings should be used in
the effective manner (Kourula, et al., 2017). I have analyzed that it is the responsibility of the
manager to create a healthy environment and to protect the natural environment.
I have learnt certain things from the classwork and readings that Ethics is very essential and it
should be the responsibility of every company to govern principles so that the right activity can
be conducted (Iyigun, 2015). Ethics are the matters of the value and it is the concept of what is
right and what is wrong. I have analyzed that ethics plays an essential role in the company as it
helps in taking better decisions as it based on integrity and honesty.

Issues faced in the construction company
Sustainability is the most important part of the organization as it maintains the company
infrastructures and also helps the company to achieve better growth in the market. The related
organization faces several issues in managing the sustainability in their business so the overall
growth of the company decreases at very immense level (Kumar and Steinmann, 2015). The
main issues occurred in the sustainability maintenance are described below-
 Climate change
As per my context, climate change is one of the biggest issues occurred in the process of
sustainability maintained by the particular organization in their business. As climate
change affects the overall business and their growth as it creates several issues related to
sustainability. I have analyzed that climate change is interlinked with the global, national,
local and environmental problems and it also creates several other development
challenges (Kalyugina, et al., 2015). Climate change is the main issue that affects the
overall sustainability in the organization as sustainable development is related to the
maintenance of the natural resources in a proper way. The economic development of the
company is also affected by climate change in the business process.
 Energy
The issue of energy is also the biggest issue in the management of sustainability as
sustainability is an important process of the organization that maintains the proper growth
of the business. I think that sustainable energy is a form of energy that meets the demands
of energy without any danger faces by the company (Leal Filho, et al., 2015). Sustainable
energy does not cause any harm to the environment. But the particular organization
cannot manage the energy process in their business thus it creates several issues in the
process of the organization and it decreases the overall growth of the organization in the
related market.
 Water Scarcity
The water scarcity problem is one of the most serious problems faced by the world. This
issue affects the overall sustainability maintained by the organization. As per my context,
sustainable development is the most important part of the business as this creates many
environmental issues. The main issue that affects the proper development of
sustainability is the scarcity of water (Salvia, et al., 2019). The whole environment and
people of the world affected in a large manner by the problem of the water scarcity. The
overall sustainable development is affected by water scarcity. This includes as one of the
leading challenges in the overall organization that also affects the overall development of
sustainability. The construction company cannot meet the proper sustainability due to
these issues of sustainable development.

 Biodiversity
Biodiversity involve as an important part in sustainable development. As this aspect
offers several opportunities for the poverty eradication, human well-being and socio-
cultural integrity of people and it is especially affected the developing countries. I have
analyzed that biodiversity is essential for the sustainable development and it cannot be
managed in the particular organization as the issue of biodiversity is big in London and
this impacts the whole environment of the business (Cook and Smith, 2012). The
pollution gives a great impact on the biodiversity of the world and this is one of the
important aspects that helps in the proper management of the species and life on Earth.
 Food Production
I have analyzed that the food production process also affects the overall sustainable
development in the company. The fictive company affects their sustainability by one of
the problems of food production as this is the basic need that is required by the
employees and other people related to the company. The construction company required
the proper food production for better sustainability and this aspect decreases the overall
development of sustainability and affects the company in a large manner. I have
examined that food production is one of the key aspect related to sustainable
development.

Critical learning
I have analyzed that the learning of sustainability gives a great impact on me and also affects the
overall development. As per my context, it has been described that sustainable development is
one of the main principles that help in meeting several needs related to human development. As
the natural system gets affected by the improper development of sustainability. The learning of
sustainability gives a great impact on me like the knowledge of sustainability gives an
understanding of the natural resources and the needs required for human development (Wals and
Corcoran, 2012).
The learning of sustainability is the most important part of my context. As it describes the
environmental aspects that get affected by the proper development of sustainability. The
employees of the organization also need to learn about sustainable development as they can
manage the sustainability in the business aspects. By the learning of sustainable development, I
can understand the use of natural resources in the common work of the business and in the
overall business environment. As natural resources also used in the common environment of
business.
The learning of sustainability gives a great impact on me as I can learn several issues that
occurred in the organization due to sustainable development. This learning helps the employees
in increasing the sustainable use of renewable resources. The sustainable world can be
maintained by learning about sustainable development in the organization (Adams, 2013). The
common people improve environmental protection and conservation in a different manner as it is
essential for the organization. I have increased the knowledge level by learning about the
sustainability in the construction company as the construction aspects are required the aspects of
sustainability. By improving the sustainable development, the company can improve the brand
image and competitive advantage.
It increases overall productivity and reduces costs. All the rules and regulations related to
sustainability are very well known by me by the proper learning related to the aspects of
sustainability. The waste occurred in the business process can be reduced by learning the various
aspects related to sustainability. The learning of sustainability also affects the employees and
investors as they use sustainability as per the overall process of the organization (Diduck, et al.,
2012). The business can increase its ability elated to the management of regulations.

Recommendation to improve the unethical things and managing Sustainability
The recommendations are included as important things that can help in managing sustainability
in the organization and also manage the unethical things occurred in the business process. The
unethical things destroyed the overall business environment and largely impact the business. So,
I think that the organization needs to manage unethical things by trained the employees regarding
the ethics used in the business (Lee and Saen, 2012). The unethical things can be managed by
proper following the rules and regulations related to the ethics and proper management of the
business. As per my thinking, the employees need to learn the ethics used in the business
environment so that no unethical things can occur in the business.
The several recommendations are also required for the proper management of sustainability as
sustainable development is essential for the overall business organization. The organization
needs to focus on the issues regarding sustainability so that overall management can be attained.
I have analyzed that sustainable development improves the overall process of the organization
and it also improves the use of natural resources in the company itself. The company needs to
manage the use of water in business activities so the scarcity can be reduced.
The climate change is one of the big issues that occurred in sustainable development so the
organization maintained the functions in such a way so that climate change does not affect the
overall process (Nikolaidis, et al., 2013). Sustainability manages the use of natural resources and
ecosystems that increases the sustainable development in the business. The organization required
to give the proper information to the employees regarding the use of natural resources as this is
the basic need for the business and its environment. These recommendations are much beneficial
in decreasing the unethical things from the business environment and also help to manage the
sustainability issue in the business.
Conclusion
From the above report, it is concluded that ethics and sustainability are very essential in the
construction company as it helps in maintaining the environment and making use of the material
in an effective way. In this report, I have learned that Construction Company causes many
pollution and health issues so to improve those issues certain recommendations were also given.
To manage sustainability is very essential so in this report, I have also given my personal
opinions and thoughts related to sustainability. By making an effective supply chain and by using
the construction materials effectively, sustainability in the construction can be improved.
Recycling and repurposing are also very effective in maintaining sustainable. There were many
issues in the construction company which has stated above and to improve them suggest
measures are also given.
