1STRATEGIES FOR FINAL EXAM
With the final exam knocking at my door, I am preparing my best to come out with
flying colours in this exam. I am going through my lecture notes and previous curriculums as
a form of preparation for the exam. As a form of preparation, I am absorbing new ideas by
going through different journals, books and articles, taking necessary notes, memorizing
necessary portions of text and subsequently applying my knowledge into practical problems
for reaching a solution. As another way of preparation, I am working on my time
management skill so that I do not run out of time while taking the final online test. While for
the test I have devoted my time in certain practical jobs, which has helped me understand the
curriculum of the course even better through practical application of the theories learnt.
Test anxiety is a usual phenomenon among students, especially among the ones who
are less prepared for the test or those who suffers from stress related mental health issues
(Thomas, Cassady & Heller, 2017). Personally, I seldom experience test anxiety as I have
always prepared myself early for any test, thereby securing enough time for a detailed
revision of the curriculum. However, the slight nervous that anyone experiences before any
significant exam is quite normal and I am no exception. I keep positive mental attitude along
with a good night's sleep for keeping my nervous at bay. I refrain from paying attention to
what others are doing and try to focus on managing the limited time of the exam.
