Why are you applying for your chosen course(s)?
My name is XYZ. I am applying for a position within financial accounting course at the
university of Richmond University because I am highly interested in the topics covered
particularly related to financial accounting. I am a hard-working as well as passionate being who
always consider in learning and acquisition. For me, learning is a never last process of career
growth and success. I finish high school in Romania and HND in London. I am interested in my
capabilities and knowledge about financial accounting so that I can do well within the
profession. I have done 2 years of management HNC-HND on Richmond University of business,
and I have a high school in Romania.
Why does this subject interest you? Include evidence that you understand what’s required to
study the course.
I have completed my higher national diploma and certificate in management of two years
due to which I understand the importance of financial accounting as it is a major section that
helps in management of an organisation. By completing my diploma and certificate, I have
developed an interest of acquiring further education in the field of financial accounting. By
having a clear knowledge and experience, I understand the seriousness of this subject and I
understand all the practical implications of this subject course. My initial interest in this subject
was developed while completing in class activities of financial accounting like studying annual
reports of multi national companies. This also acts as an evidence that can show my
understanding about what is required for this course.
Why do you think you're suitable for the course(s)? Do you have any particular skills and
experience that will help you to succeed in the course(s)?
As I mentioned it earlier my higher national diploma and certificate was in subject course
of management that had provided me to the opportunity to gain understanding of various subjects
but out of all of them I think financial accounting is most appropriate for me. The reason for this
implied appropriateness and suitability is that I am efficient with numbers and I understand the
complexity of data which provides me the power to effectively analyse financial information of
an enterprise. As far as my skills and experience are concerned, I think my skills and experience
perfectly inclined with my choice to study financial accounting. My skills of data analysis,
numeracy skills and understanding of finance software will particularly help me in succeeding in

the course of financial accounting. The one more additional reason behind my interest in this
subject was working experience in coffee company where work as team leader and responsible
for handling cash flow of company.
Do your current or previous studies relate to the course(s) that you have chosen? If so, how?
I have strong time management and finance skill that is important for studding
management course in Richmond University. With the help of these skills, I will easily
completed full financial accounting course easily. I have different types of skills that will help
me in management courses such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, decision
making, honesty, time management etc. All these skills will be suitable for doing management
course in Richmond University. For example, I have completed a group project in which my
excellent communication skill me in incorrectly conveying ideas, teamwork skill will leads to the
smooth running of the task, honesty will help me in developing effective relationships, and
management of time support in completing full project within a set period of time. Therefore, all
these are useful skills for doing my management course at Richmond University. The completion
of HND from renowned university simultaneously depicts my own capabilities along with
knowledge in finance topic. This further build my more prominent interest in topic.
Have you taken part in any other activities that demonstrate your interest in the course(s)?
In my previous higher national diploma and course in management, I was given this
opportunity several times to analyse annual reports of large organisation as a part of my
curriculum activity due to which I gained the interest in this course. My part in such in class
activities and quizzes based on financial accounting will guide me as being my base of
knowledge. The another opportunity which I got was in coffee shop. At this place, I gained the
finance knowledge due to practical application of skills and knowledge. This experience helped
me in development of my own interest along with learning about finance topic.

life at university, such as accredited or non-accredited achievements.
In my school, I was the team leader of my group and we were given the task of audit the
financial reports of a large organisation. This activity was well performed by me and our group
even gained a special consideration which according to me was a proud moment for myself as
this activity provided me the experience of handling and tackling an entire group and be

responsible for the activities. In addition to this achievement, I have a unique ability to
understand the data due to which I can analyse even a large data set having numerous variables
and this ability of me is what makes me unique and valuable. The courage and curious nature of
mine reflects the learning ability in area of interest. This will definitely help me in performing
good at the course and adding new skills in personality.

During the period of school, I was good in both sports and study. This has major
influence where it helped me to won many awards in school days. Outside of the school, I have
the experience of working in coffee shop related to handling financial transactions. These has
huge benefit in improving my skills and creating interest in the filed of finance. The financial
accounting course of Richmond University not only includes the above mentioned themes but
will also present me to the different new areas of financial accounting which will extend my
knowledge and understanding in respect to the subject as an entire. The idea will be gathered by
me via the performance or execution of these exercises in regards to start my financial
accounting course. I become able starting my financial accounting course in Richmond
University.

I am very good in saving money by thinking of the future aspects. I am always being
curious to invest the money in market. I am assure that the practical experience in respect to both
will definitely help me to learn more about finance management. The another hobby which I like
to perform is reading books and taking part in business activities. Apart of my intellectual skills,
I possess few interest and hobbies which shape my overall personality. I like to read novels and
fiction piece of work and try to write my own piece which provides me a comfort; in addition to
this, I am engaged in multi disciplinary social activities. Considering all these hobbies, interest
and social activities, I think my personality is demonstrated as a confident individual who is clear
about the future goals.

I completed my finance related course in HMD for 2 years. Also, I worked as team leader in
coffee company where perform the activities related to handling of cash flow. My future plans
are to work at a high profile as well as to start my own business. Once I I have done 2 years of
management HNC-HND on Kensington college of business, I will look forward to start a
business related to demat and trading account for various clients. I want to gain a high degree so
that I can do at a higher profile and I am also acute to open my approach to start my own
business.

After completion of the graduation, I too working experience in coffee company. Here, I
worked as team leader and perform the functions related to management of cash flow. By
completing financial accounting course I will start my own business. With the help my financial
and communication skills I will start my business successfully. This will helps me in my career
growth and success.
