Yes, Starbuck Corporation has a discontinued operation in the fiscal year 2017.
Starbuck sold his company operated retail store asset and operation in Singapore to Maxim’s
Caterers Limited by converting these operations to a fully licensed market for a total amount
of $ 119.9 million that come up with the pre -tax gain of $ 83.9 million (Starbucks, 2019).
The financial report of the Yum! Brands Inc. does not have any figure in the income
from the discontinued operations for the year 2017. Lastly, in 2016, the Yum! Brands Inc.
ends its operation in China but this is not related with our selected year (yum.com, 2019).
Same like the Yum! Brands Inc., the Panera Breads Inc. also does not have any
amount in the income from the discontinued business.
