Many students often need financial need in order to do their college or further studies in their
career (Mourshed, Farrell and Barton). It is a requirement that is unavoidable if one aims to get into good
college which is undoubtedly very important. Academic and professional goals are vital for the
universities when it comes to giving the grants. This essay aims to discuss the academic and professional
goals along with financial needs.
After graduation from high school, many students aim to pursue higher education, and they
become persistent in order to achieve the career aspiration (Scarboro 101). Student across the world
dream of getting a good education, since education is expensive, precisely the well-reputed universities
and colleges the tuition fees become too expensive for some of the students to endure. Often children are
raised by a single parent and the costly education costing cannot be shared between two parents. Often
students aim to study medicine, engineering, creative design courses however due to high education cost
they fail to achieve their professional goals. Professional goals are the aim of the children that they want
in their professional field. Universities are aware of this fact, and there are several universities that
provide grants to students who cannot afford the high tuition fees.
In order to gain the scholarship or grants from universities, the students need to convince the
university that there is no other candidate who is more eligible as well as in need of the scholarship
(Bukhari and Denman 152). The scholarship helps in various ways. Getting the privilege of scholarship
makes the student focus on studies without the distraction that comes from a lack of financial support.
Students get time to study for more times as the need for working for pay is relatively less. Scholarship
has the capability of making the cost of education less that is needed for completing higher studies. The
scholarship is a way of filling the gap between the students who fall under the high and low-income
group. Along with the financial assistance, it encourages philanthropic behaviour among the students
who get the benefit of scholarship (Silka).
