Project Statement:
Background:
The Grocon Pty Ltd or more commonly the Grocon is the largest private organization in
the construction and development section. This organization is also functional at the funds
management. Currently the Grocon is having its headquarters at the Melbourne, Australia and
they also having other offices at the Brisbane and Sydney. From the last few decades Grocon has
produced five tallest buildings of Australia. Grocon is having an extensive history of the
industrial disputes in Australia.
Project Topic:
It has been seen that Grocon has begun to expand more from the last few decades due to
its contribution to the development of Australia in the construction sector. The overall revenue of
the organization is also increased with the time and currently it is one of the biggest private
sector in Australia. As the organization expanded this organization faced some issues with the
financial management and due to this factor overall financial performance and the financial
structures of the Grocon got hampered. So currently it is very much important for the Grocon to
fix finance related issues so that perfect financial performance and financial structure for them
can be achieved.
In this aspect one of the biggest opportunity for the Grocon is that they need to improve
the current business plan so that they will be able to achieve a better financial performance and
financial structure. This organization is currently facing issues with the financial structure and
the main reason behind this issues is that the current business plan failed to address the key
driver of success (Revelli and Viviani 2015). Due to these factors currently the financial

performance and that financial structure of the organization has become weakest point. Key
operations for improving the current business plan has been neglected constantly (Ongore et al.
2015). With the business plan there are several reasons also due to which financial performance
and financial structure related issues are occurring within Grocon.
Purpose of the Research:
Thus from current the situation of Grocon the purpose of the research is investigation of
the financial performance and financial structure of the organization so that area for
improvements of this organizational aspects can be identified. From the investigation,
recommendations will be also provided for so that organizational requirements regarding the
financial performance can be satisfied.

Research Method:
Research method will be based on a single type of case study and the analysis will be
done on the Grocon Pty Ltd. Some secondary data will be also gathered from the industry reports
that are related with the financial performance and with the financial structure. All of these data
will be used for identification of the perfect business plan through which financial structure and
the financial performance of the organization can be improved. Through this analysis approach,
first the whole industry will be analyzed and from there it will be compared with the current
condition of Grocon. The qualitative type of data will be used in this case for the identification of

the issues in the financial performance of Grocon (O’Neill, Sohal and Teng 2016). Quantitative
type of data analysis will be used for quantifying the issues that has been identified.
