(a) Auto sum- This is a kind of function of the excel that is useful in making sum easily
with higher accuracy(Smart, 2011). Like in the spreadsheet of profit and loss forecasting, the
auto sum is used to make addition of income and expenditures. It can make the sum of all data of
columns as well as raw. In this feature of excel user will need to select all the numerical data and
put the formula. Like user wants to add all the digits from B6 to B6 then formula would be as :
=SUM(B6: B10).
(b) Auto format- Auto format is a type of function of the excel in which users can change the
formatting of the entered data in the excel. Eventually, this feature change the appearance of
entered information. For example user entered 4 th, then with the use of auto format it will be
changed as 4th . So overall it is beneficial in the changing the formatting style of the texts..
(c) Average formula- The average formula is being used by the users for computing the average
of numerical data. This function of excel removes the complexity in the calculation of the

this purpose user will need the formula of AVERAGE(A1:A20), if user wants to calculate the
average of series from A1 to A20.
(d) Percentage- This feature of the excel is useful for calculating the percentage of numerical
digits, as well as it is also used for reducing the % of discounting. For example in the spreadsheet
of profit and loss forecasting, this tool is used for computing the percentage of different
numerical digits. Like if user wants to compute the 40% of 60 then formula will be =40%*60.
(e) Password protect your spreadsheet- Every user wants to protect their files from the
unwanted users and this can be possible by applying the application of password protection(Jelen
and Syrstad, 2010). Due to this users can ensure about their privacy and no one can open the file
without permission of the user. Herein, the spreadsheet of profit and loss forecasting, their
