The following paper attempts a discussion on the issues that are faced by the concerned
business organization in case there are flaws in the given mission statement of the concerned
organization. The paper further discusses the impacts of a flawed mission statement on the job
description as well as the individual goals that are set by the concerned organization.
The mission statement of a certain business organization refers to the statement that helps
in explaining the overall goal of the organization as well as helps in the identification of the
goals of the operations of the concerned organization. The flaw in the mission statement of the
organization might thus lead to several situations within the organization. The lack of a proper
mission statement or a flaw in the mission statement of the organization often leads to the
inability of the organizations in order to provide a proper guidance to the employees on the ways
to meet the given targets as have been set by the organizational management (Aguinis, 2009).
The lack of the proper mission statement on the part of the organization leads to the lack in the
definition of the purpose and the objectives on the part of the company in attaining the targets
that have been set by the organization.
The flaws within the mission statement further leads to the lack of the proper evaluation
of the path that should be undertaken by the concerned employees and the other stakeholders of
the organization in order to deal in the activities that are related to the achievement of the goals
that are set by the organization (Pandey, Kim & Pandey, 2017). The lack in the proper mission
statement on the part of the organization leads to the lack in the attainment of the objectives that
have been set by the concerned management of the organization. The lack in the proper mission
statement leads to the conditions wherein the company might not be capable of attaining the
goals and the values that are highlighted by the concerned management of the concern (Smith,
2019). The lack in the proper definition of the mission statement of the organization might

further lead the company to face a failure as have been highlighted within the markets of
operation.
The inclusion of the flawed mission statement on the part of the organizational
management might lead to a negative impact on the ultimate aims of the concerned company.
The flawed mission statement within the company might lead to the deviation of the company
from the actual goals of the same (Lin et al., 2018). This might be the result due to the fact that
the mission statement of the company is the primary statement that provides a proper guidance to
the various processes that are maintained within the organization as well.
In lieu of the above discussion, it can be concluded that the flaws within the mission
statement of the company often lead to the negative impacts on the performance of the company
in the international markets. This in turn would further affect the competitive advantage of the
company in the international markets.
