1. Personal learning philosophy for this course
The personal learning philosophy in this course has been Perennialism philosophy. The
philosophy emphasizes the need to learn things that are pertinent to all people. At the same
time, it puts more emphasis on the concentration of principles. The course has touched on
operations, and that means that it is essential to look at operations from the perspective of
pertinence and relevance.
2. The intent of the study
The intention of the study is to look for issues that affect operations in fleet management
and to identify the most suitable solutions (Malekian, Moloisane, Nair, Maharaj, & Chude-
Okonkwo, 2016). The study looks into solutions by considering the effects of the solutions on
the sustainability aspect of the business.
3. Key points of investigation
The key points of the investigation will be costs of fleet management, effectiveness in fleet
management, the use of technology in fleet management, and the comparison between the
internally managed fleet department and outsourcing fleet management services.
4. Capabilities that I will develop as I progress through the course
The capabilities that I will develop in this course are; researching, investigating, problem-
solving, effective decision making, and problem analysis.
5. The process I will take to have a positive collaborative team
The process that I will take to have a positive collaborative team will include different steps.
The first step will be to look for a team that knows the issues that affect fleet management
(Belletti & Bayen, 2018). The second step is to vet the communication skills of the team
members. Collaboration cannot be fostered without effective communication. The fourth step
is to select a team that believes in teamwork.

A structured inquiry will be the inquiry process that will be used in this study. In a
structured inquiry, the subjects are provided with questions and the method of attaining the
results (Lee, Tsai, Yang, & Lin, 2018). When the investigator provides the questions, the
participants cannot deviate from the main theme and goal.
7. Key dates and milestones for the study
Three different milestones will be met in this study, and each will have a stipulated
deadline. The first milestone will be the team panel discussion (Bélanger, Kergosien, Ruiz, &
Soriano, 2016). The deadline for meeting the milestone will be 25th June 2019. The second
milestone will be the presentation. The milestone will be met on 10th July 2019. The third
milestone will be completing the report of the issues at hand and the possible solutions to each
of the issues. The milestone will be met on 25th July 2019.
