1. Introduction:
F&N is a beverage company that provides a wide range of products like coconut water,
isotonic drink, sparkling water, soya milk, juice and yoghurt. The company is committed towards
providing huge range of products that would not only satisfy the taste buds of the consumers but
provide some health benefits as well. The aim of the report is to carry out a detailed operation
management analysis on the three staged process of the manufacturing of the products of F&N
(FNNFOODS.COM 2017). The company sells the number one product of all types and is one of
the most liked brands in Singapore. It has been able to gather a huge range of consumers and has
been doing well in its business. The operation management of the organisation can be regarded
as the main success behind this company.
2. Case study analysis:
2.1 Analysis of the processes of OM system of F&N
Money F&N always believe in providing the best quality product and so the best
quality products are selected for the manufacturing of the food product. So the
cost of the products is moderate (Bahmani-Firouzi and Azizipanah-Abarghooee
2014).
Method The products are used for regular consumption and it mainly acts as a
refreshment drink.
Machine The machines that are used are based on the different steps of production that

in the market. The company focuses on the quality of the product along with the price of the

activity in a well settled way creating a better business area to be work on (FNNFOODS.COM
2017). In fact, the products are available in different sizes that make it easier for the consumers
in terms of purchasing a particular product according to their requirements. The process is based
on input, process and output.
2.3 Analysis of the output of OM system
The food products have a long validity due to the good quality preservatives used for the
manufacturing process and also due to type of packaging that is done to prevent the spoilage of
the particular food product (Mahadevan 2015). It is for the same reason, the company maintains
a good stock so that the demand of the market can be easily fulfilled and they can be competitive

Cost It has been evident that the price of the raw materials needed for the production
of the juice and other beverages vary according to season and the availability of
the product as well as due to the demand of the supplier. However, the cost of
the final product supplied remains more or less the same (Grant et al. 2017).
Speed Production through machines and better equipments has made it possible to
manufacture huge products within a small time. Moreover, in order to meet the
demand and remain competitive in the business, the company always found to
produce product at a rapid rate.
Quality The quality of the products can never be questioned when it comes to F&N
because their products always promises to provide the best quality that would
