Ethical Justification for
Environment
 Environmental ethics can be defined as setting up of standards
that will help in protection of natural entities and supporting
sustainable use of resources.
 One of the most important stakeholder in case of timber
production is environment, as cutting of trees leaves a great
impact on the nature.
 Effective use of the residue is important to support the
environmental needs.

Major effect on environment
 One of the most important criteria that can be used to judge the
effect of timber production on the environment on the level of
pollution that it is causing by inappropriate wastage and non-
effective use of the same.

Legislative Requirement
 One of the most important legislative requirements with regards
to logging is Illegal Logging Prohibition Act 2012 and the Illegal
Logging Prohibition Regulation 2012.
 Both of these Acts have been made to protect the environment
from inappropriate and illegal logging activities.

Recommendations
 Check whether the legislative requirements are fulfilled or not.
 Check whether the levels of pollution caused are under permitted
limits or not.
 To supervise that there is proper usage of the biomass residue
and the management is taking steps for that.
 To form a committee that will advice over the actions of the
management in case of timber logging use of wastage.
