Introduction
The trends and technologies is growing at a very faster rate in the market of mobile phones.
The evolution of telephone is going in the direction of making it compact in size. The
purpose of this project is to plan a designing of the foldable mobile phones by applying the
principles of NTCP diamond model.
Project Overview
The designing and planning of the foldable mobile phones is done on giving emphasis to the
NTCP model so that the analysis and evaluation of the Novelty, technological advancement
features, and complexity associated with the development of the foldable design of mobile
phones and pace to analyse the completion of the time frame.
Project Scope and Objectives
The scope of the project is to design a foldable model for the mobile phones to enhance its
compactness by using the concept of NTCP model.
Project Classification
The NTCP diamond model is used for developing a structured framework for the
construction of the foldable mobile phones to increase the compatibility of the project
manager to take effective decision. The project can be successfully completed by deploying
the four levels of systematic phases:
NOVELTY phase:
The Novelty phase is going to focus on the demand of the customers and the potential users
so that the new features can be effectively added to the design to meet the requirement of the
stakeholders. It focuses on extension and expansion of the features required in the existing
structure of the mobile phones (Mehta, 2008). The compact size of the new launched phone
helps in attracting customers from the global market. It brings a breakthrough in the mobile
industry because the development of the foldable mobile phones is beyond the customer
expectations (Raz, Shenhar, and Dvir, 2011).
Technology Phase:
Document Page
The advancement in technology focuses on improving the existing design of the mobile
phones, identifying the new features which should be added in the foldable design of the
mobile phones to enhance its quality, and the emphasis should be given on developing the
high-tech technology which is not there in the mobile market industry (Otieno, 2014).
Complexity Phase:
The project complexity can effectively minimized by identifying the clear concept and
requirement of the customers. The focus should be given on arranging the components, array,
modules, elements, and others in a systematic manner so that the project can be successfully
completed. The emphasis should be given on functionality of the new included features and
the compact size and foldable structure of the new designed mobile phone model
(Passenheim, 2015).
PACE phase:
The focus should be given on the critical structure of developing an effective foldable mobile
design. The success of the project depends upon the completing the activity schedule within
the given time frame. The development of the undertaken project at a faster rate helps in
increasing the profit and turnover of the mobile industry effectively.
