Abstract: The purpose of this report is to know about design perspectives of Food App. The aim
of the design is that to comply with all the beneficial requirements in on app structure. The
design structure is made to book a table and order food. All the other requirements login and
register, cart option, etc. is incorporated in it. The design complies with all heuristic principles.
All possible principles of designing a structure is considered which comes of to be an effective
and efficient design. The recommendations are to improve the website by including various
aspects such as delete option in cart and total quantity should be displayed in the cart itself. The
online tracking of order should be available to user to increase user convenience.
Introduction:
The report includes various aspects as user interface with user experience. It has also been
matched with all heuristic principles. It has been seen that the heuristic principles are followed or
not. All requirements of user have been compiled in the structure of app. All the constraints of
the website are explained. The competitor features are compared with food app and differences
are also taken out from this. There is similar research which was done on all health issues. It has
been seen then there is an increase in apps of health. Here popularity and quality of different
health apps are checked. The usability element is focused here. The Quality of different apps
available in apps relating to IOS and Android were generally poor. The principles were not fully
considered which leads to less experience for user (Stark, et al., 2010). The analysis was done
based on all heuristic principles. The requirements should be detected fully to comply with the
design according to reference to heuristic principles (Tiffany, et al.,2018).
Reflection of the interface designs
a. User Interface design for application
The particular design is selected to meet the requirements of user experience. It is designed
as per full visibility in back of system. The visibility feature can be seen in figure 1. All
required information is known to user. The concepts and words used in real-world scenario
are used in the layout of system. The full control is given to user which increases its usability
pattern. The factors of consistency are incorporated in design. This design is the best as all
heuristic’s principles are incorporated which makes usability perspective effective (Geisler,
2013).
The usability principles which are adopted in the structure of design are as follows:
1. Visibility and Perceptibility of system: The system adheres this principle as the user
knows what is happening inside the system and this can be seen in figure 1.
2. System adheres with real-world perspectives: The design and content are designed to
user understanding.
3. Free Control access to user: The structure of app adheres this parameter. The actions
performed can be back to its original destination.
4. Meeting the standards and consistency parameters: The color and functionalities in
design of app is according to standards and same with all parameters.

5. Avoiding errors: The error rate is reduced in the structure as all validation criteria would
be fulfilled.

b. Design meets the user requirements and enhances their experience
This application is made from the perspective of food. There are various requirements of
Food app which is that the table should be booked in that particular restaurant, Able to log in
and register through Google and Facebook, Menu should be displayed with price, cart option,
offers present in restaurant while booking the table or ordering food, option of logout should
be there for user convenience, The food should be categorized according to different filters,
the cart page should be customizable, different payment option should be incorporated in
application, All the forms related to the payment should be made with proper validation on it,
proper alert messages should be given to user for their convenience, Proper message for
order confirmation should be there, The time of preparing and dispatching should be
available. Offers given should be customizable, terms and conditions should be adhered in
the app and appropriate notification regarding the offers, order and table booking should be
there. The structure provided is meting all the conditions prescribed in the requirements
(Britton, 2015). The designing is made in accordance with all design principles so that
usability and easiness cold be more effective and efficient.
c. Factors that influenced this design and their reasons
The user requirements are adhered by structure of app. The app structure confines the value
of food as the delivery and booking can be done with this app without any interruptions in it.
This app makes the user satisfied as it is great solution to the problem of ordering food and
booking in restaurant. The structure compliances with all required user requirements as every
possible option adheres in the structure of app. The usability is convenient as all options are
placed in a proper way which increases the usability of user (Parush,2015). The user
experience is a major factor which is focused here in the structure of the app. The visibility
principle is properly acquired which increases the experience of user. The quality is major
aspect then quantity (Dunford, 2013). This aspect is focused while making the structure of a
food app.
The main restriction of the app structure is that the total is not displayed in the cart and delete
option is not given in cart which is a major drawback and should be improved.
The design principles are followed by food app design structure. All design principles related
to complexity and spacing is acquired by the structure of app. (Wallin, 2013). The alignment
and contrast properly adhere in the structure of design of food app. These are the major
building blocks that should be adhered by every design structure.
The requirements of business are full incorporated with the structure of design of food app.
As this business wants the customer experience. This could be by accompanying various

design structure as providing booking table option with online delivery of food. The proper
message for food preparation and delivery prompt should adhere to the structure of the app.
The competitor of food app is uber eats. This app has various feature. The map with online
tracking of order is also available in this app. Our app does not have the option of online
tracking the delivery of food. The focus restaurant is only one. This app has a problem while
login other wise uber app is good app for ordering the food. Every possible option is given in
this app for better user experience.
d. Similar interfaces
The similarity is quite less in both apps that are uber eats and food app. Our app structure
does not have feature of online tracking. This feature is incorporated in uber eats app. The
login is not proper in uber eats app. This feature is incorporated in food app. The food app
has all the possible feature. The offers in uber eats are given whereas this feature is also
incorporated in design of food app. Booking option is not provided in uber eats app as it not
deals with this option. The booking option is available in food app. The options related to
food are limited in structure of food app but through uber eats, all restaurants are covered and
have different varieties of food available which can be ordered online. The design of login
and registration is better and booking option is also viable in food app design structure. The
weakness in relation to competitors is that this app structure does not provide option to delete
the order. The total of items is not displayed in cart page. The online tracking is also not
available in this app structure.
Conclusion
The report is successfully completed. There are various perspectives which are covered. The aim of
design is that to comply with all the beneficial requirements in on app structure. The structure of the
website is compared with all possible heuristic principles. The user requirements are identified and
incorporated with the structure. Different constraints of the website are identified and the structure is
designed according to design principles. The competitor is identified and comparison of similarities
and differentiation is done with both app designs. The recommendations are given as the delete
option should be adhered in cart page with total amount.
