Impact of General trend in Profession
Covid-19 pandemic: Covid-19 pandemic had created good sort of negative impact on the
consumer preference in the market. It had been analyzed that customer generally do not preferred
going in the café to have a coffee or so (Han, Kim and Kang, 2017). This will impact the mine
profession in the negative way, as number of the customer targeted by the café will be less as
compare to the expectation.
Coffee Culture: It had been understood that there is good sort of coffee drinking culture in the
UK market. As it had been analyzed that good number of the customer in the market prefer
drinking 1-2 coffee a day. It is really a positive trend in the market, this will help me in attracting
good number of customer toward the café.
Buy Local: It is another trend in the Food and beverage industry i.e. in regards of buying fresh
food and organic product from the local market. This trend will ultimately help me in attracting
and retaining the local customer in the café. This can be done with the help of good marketing
activity of an organization.
Skill required to carry out profession
There are good sort of knowledge and skill which are required to carry out different operation of
the venture which I am looking to open.
Knowledge
 Market and Industry: It is very much important to have good sort of market and
Industry knowledge, this knowledge will ultimately help the company in planning variety
of different activity in a way that they are able to capitalize all the opportunity and trend
prevailing in market (Lederer, Van Niekerk and Okumus, 2017).

 Customer Knowledge: It is another sort of important knowledge which need to be
possess by all the organization. They have to make sure that organization is having
information about the need and preference which are prevailing in the market and on the
basis of same should take different decision.
Skills
 Decision Making: It is another sort of the skill which is very much important to be
possess by me, reason behind the same is that there are variety of issue which will be
seen by me in the process of opening new venture. For the same reason it is very much
important to have good decision making skill.
 Organizational skill: It is another important skill which is required to run a operation of
café, I have to make sure that I am having a good sort of organizational skill. Having
good sort of organizational skill will also help me in building good relationship with the
customer in the café as well.
Cause of Interest for the role
There are two main reason which has generally driven me toward owning a coffee shop of mine.
This two reason has contributed very positively toward building good sort of interest of mine
toward the business.
 Good market opportunity: It is the first reason which had driven me toward the same
venture, it had been analyzed by me that there is good sort of coffee drinking culture in
the UK. At the same time price of quality coffee in different MNC are very high. Hence,
offering good quality of coffee at reasonable price in UK market is one of the good
opportunity present in front of me. Hence, organization will provide the coffee at lower
rate in the market (Bresciani, 2017).
 Good Skill: It is another important sort of the aspect which has driven me toward the
same business. As it has been understood by me that I am having good cooking and
presentation skill. This has contributed very positively in choosing this has a professional
career.

Cause of Interest in Industry
Main reason which has driven my interest toward the food and beverage industry is the
opportunity which is present in the organization. It has been understand by me that in the rapidly
changing environment need and preference of different customer used to change on the regular
basis. So looking at the benefit of entering Food and Beverage industry is way better as this
industry generally adopts the new firm or organization in the best possible.
Another reason which has driven me to enter the same industry is that I have good sort of
the knowledge about the Food and beverage industry, this knowledge will ultimately help me in
overcoming the variety of the issue which will be offered by the industry. Hence, having good
knowledge about the industry has driven my interest toward the same industry.
Reason for doing job
Reason behind opening the coffee shop is that it will provide me variety of the different type
benefit in the long run. Some of the benefit which will be seen are as follows:
 Skill development: This venture will eventually help me in developing good sort of the
skill which are generally require at the time of carry out different professional
commitment. Not only that it will also help me in understanding the importance of
variety of the different skill which are required to be competitive in Food and Beverage
industry.
 Support to Theoretical Knowledge: Doing this will ultimately help me in providing
support to different sort of theoretical knowledge which is possessed by me (Salim and
et.al., 2018). Opening a venture by my own and carry out different operation in the café
will ultimately help me in providing support to the theoretical knowledge which is
generally possessed.
 Market Understanding: It is another reason which had driven me to select this option.
As this will help me in understanding the market condition in the best way possible. This
information will ultimately help me at the time of carry out different activity in the best
way possible.

Progress of Career
Looking at the progress or the shape which I am looking to give my career, it has been identified
that main focus of mine is to run the Coffee shop and build a good career as an entrepreneur. I
will pursue with the same career for longer period of time, as my main focused will be expanding
my venture in the coming future.
Looking at the alternate career option, it has been identified by me that I may look for Floor
manager the role in the industry as well. Reason behind the same is that with the help of my own
coffee shop I will able to develop good sort of leadership and management skill. This skill will
ultimately come very handy for me at the time of pursuing the Manager role in the industry.
Manager role will work well for me, reason behind highlighting the same is that there are many
different type of the skill set which are possessed by me which will help me in carrying out
different activity in manager role.
New emerging role in the Industry
There are variety of different type of role which are emerging in the Food and beverage industry
in the recent past. Some of the emerging role in Food and beverage industry are as follows:
 Chef: It is one of the most traditional job role which is famous in food and beverage
industry, in the recent time it had been analyzed that there are good sort of vacancy of the
chef who are capable of making continental food. Reason behind the same is that all the
organization are looking to provide different sort of food in their meal.
 Restaurant manager: It is another sort of Emerging role in Food and beverage industry.
Restaurant manager is the one who generally used to look at the different operation of the
restaurant and on the basis of the same make sure that different operation of the
restaurant are carried out in the best way possible in the market (Vojtovic, Navickas and
Gruzauskas, 2016).
