Brief Overview of the Outlet and Its Menu
Delicious is a takeaway and coffee bar located in 46 South Methven Street, Perth,
Australia. The restaurant is owned by Tracy and Liz, a mother and a daughter by relation.
They offer freshly made sandwiches and coffee six days a week. They are passionate about
food and service and have an experience in the catering field for more than thirty years. They
are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. It is a small café run by mainly female workers.
The staff are very friendly, cooperative and engaging. The café has a very welcoming and
easy-to-go atmosphere. The café is recommended by many locals as the price of the food
items is also very reasonable. They have a plenty of food options and they cater according to
the demands of the customers. Everything is served fresh here, whether it is a sandwich or
soup or homemade cakes. The outlet is very trendy and appealing. Though small, the interior
is decorated nicely with cute, little and attractive decor items. The café consists of small
round tables, each with two seating chairs. They have a large board where the menu is
displayed. Also, they keep on upgrading the menu every passing day. Fresh home-made
cakes, pastries and other bakery items are displayed in a large glass showcase. The café also
has some shelves where books of different genre are kept for the customers to read whenever
they want to. Pretty little tea-pots and kettles are displayed at a corner inside the café, which
gives the café a unique look (Kaakoush et al 2017).
Analysis of the Menu with Nutritional Value
The current menu of Delicious has a variety of Sandwiches such as cheese sandwich,
egg mayo sandwich, brie grape and cranberry sandwich, Chinese chicken sandwich, Italian
chicken sandwich, chicken tikka sandwich, tuna mayo sandwich, prawn sandwich, Smokey
bacon sandwich and a lot more. They also have a range of Wraps and Salads like a Pulled
chicken bowl, bacon baguette, pulled chicken wrap, chicken bun, sausage bun and chicken

salad. Different types of bites and snacks are also available like crispy chicken strips, chilli
cheese chips, spicy chicken bolas, red jalapeno bites etc. They also provide several desserts
like hazelnut doughnuts, chocolate mousse, salted caramel doughnuts and home-made cakes.
Their menu consists of a wide variety of paninis like New Yorker, ham and Cheddar, Honey
Chilli Chicken, tuna Melt, Cranberry Chicken, BBQ steak and Onion and delicious
vegetarian. They also have a variety of salad boxes that are freshly made to order, such as,
chicken, tuna, ham, prawn with extra fillings, pita bread, chips, spicy rice, crunchy slaw,
grilled corn and seasoned avocado. The beverages served by this café consist of soft drinks,
water, fruit juices, smoothies, milk shakes, coffee, tea and hot chocolate drink. The

Alternative Menu Concept of the Restaurant
Though Delicious has a wide range of menu to offer, it seems that the items have a
high content of carbohydrates and fats. Since the upcoming generations are becoming more
and more health-conscious, along with taste and variety, they look for good quality and
nutritious food item (Crino et al. 2017). Some changes or alterations can be done to the
existing menu to offer better and healthier food options to the customers. Delicious is
providing grilled chicken instead of fried ones, but still, the accompanies with it, especially in
a sandwich, are high on carbs. Since the restaurant focuses on freshly cooked food, they can
include some other traditional Australian dishes in their menu, which will be comparatively
healthier. For instance, grilled fish, chicken and cabbage stew etc. while eliminating rice,
potatoes and pasta and replacing them with vegetables. Some other traditional food items that
can be there in the existing menu of Delicious are:

Salmon with spinach
