P3 Discuss the current and future trends affecting food and beverage business
Street Food: Street food is in trend from some time. Master chefs travel across world to
know and learn various dishes and ingredients used in them. They add new dishes in their menu
by merging those ingredients which were not used by them and will eventually lead to better
taste and more healthy options (Davis and et. al., 2018). Knowledge is gathered depending on
factors which individual consider while dining like which food or drink is liked by them mostly
or what they prefer. Individuals are more health-conscious so food and beverage market should
consider it as top-most priority.
App based services: 36% of food and beverages are sold online. Individuals are busy
with their work so don't prefer to go out and opt for doorstep delivery. Food and beverage
industry try to provide best services within their region. In app based services customer can
customise their products depending on what they need means they can order product based on
ingredients what they need in it.
Uber eats: It is launched by Uber for online food ordering in America. Users can get
home delivery of food which customers order using their smartphone in particular app made by
them or in website. Customers can check status of delivery, can get complete detail of amount to
be paid. Customers can scroll within app check out what they want and tap on it so that it can be
added into customers list. When this is done click on place order. And can check delivery status
of food. It helps customers to satisfy hunger with exceptional time, their preferences and taste.
Robot as waiters: Robots are cheaper with respect to humans and as far technology is
developing cost of robots has decreased (Bayona-Saez and et. al., 2017). Robots never get tired,
and when food and beverage industry have lot of customers, it is geneally hard to make proper
gestures. They are far stronger than humans as humans get affected by various environmental
factors like wind, heat and they never say no to any kind of work. So food and beverage industry
can use concept of robots to attract more number of customers.

should accurately tell other cooks how to cook particular dish so that particular taste can be
achieved. Food and beverage organisation is ablaze about customer services, wines and food,
they should develop new strategies and trends to attract customers. Manager and leader have
high impact on overall working of organisation so they make sure that employees are well
trained as per role they have to perform. Communication has very strong impact when managers
or leaders communicate with employees it gives them a view that they are considered a part of
organisation and are strongest factor in growth of organisation. When employees communicate
with customers they must be polite and sweet as it will leave a impact on them and customers
can think to come over again as they are treated in proper manner.

organisational skills. Food and beverage organisation know that food management, cost, labour,
working hours, cleaning and shipping are most important factors and if these factors are not
managed or organised then it will be difficult to survive in long run (Valta 2015). Good
manager knows how to organise his resources whether its employees or eatables or services
which are meant to be provided.

beverage industry. Managers understand that friendly and gracious nature will help them to grow
within market as by this they can win customers and they will be forced any how to come again.
