There is a relationship between exercise and diet. Diet of an individual determines their
body composition. It should be noted that the impact of diet on an individual can be relative
depending on their genetics that is inherited as well as the environment. The consumption of
food can lead to an increase in body mass or a reduction in body mass. Further, the choice of diet
can predispose one to lifestyle diseases such as obesity and heart complications. Due to the
vulnerabilities of the body to dietary choice, exercise becomes important to help trim the body
mass according to the needs of an individual. As such, it is recommended that one combines the
best exercise and diet to realize specific health outcomes (Verheggen et al., 2016). For instance,
when one wants to lose weight they will insist on a high calorie diet and a reduced intake of junk
food and proteins as well as embrace good exercise routine.
Physical trainers are well trained on the choices of diet that is required for every type of
body. They always advice people on the best type of exercise like weight lifting, endurance and
resistance depending on the objectives and goals of the client. The choice of the exercise is
always accompanied by a specific dietary requirement so that the expected results can be
achieved. The right balance between the amount, type and quality of exercise as well as on the
quality of food must be struck to lead to optimal outcomes (Monda et al., 2017). As noted
above, it is clear that diet and exercise are closely related aspects.

Question Two
The government is the ultimate regulator in any country. There are specified
recommendations that should be enforced through government policies. The first
recommendation that I would like the government to enact is the advertisement of food related
products. The government should restrict the promotion of foods that do not meet World Health
Organization standards. These foods include those that contain high amounts of saturated fats
and other additives that are unhealthy. This will help reduce the persuasion of citizens to
consume foods that will be harmful to their health in the long run. As such, the prevalence of
people making wrong decisions stimulated by advertisements will reduce (Andersen et al.,
2018).
Secondly, I would recommend that the government impose strict regulations on
thresholds to be met by food stuff. All food importers and manufacturers must adhere to
stipulated standards to provide only healthy foods to consumers. This can include an honest
declaration of the food content and application of high quality control and assurance standards
during the production process (Temple, 2016). Similarly, the government can set up effective
regulatory bodies to conduct assessments in the food market to remove any food stuff that
contradict the quality standards.
Moreover, the government should commit to creating nutritional public awareness
campaigns. Intensification of such campaigns through various forms of media for mass
communication as well as rallies will help many people make the right decisions regarding their
nutrition (Temple, 2016).

Lastly, I would recommend that the government subsidize on food production. This is
because most times, the right nutrition can be expensive to the consumer (Andersen et al., 2018).
Subsidization will enable most people in the population to access quality food at affordable
prices and hence stay healthy.
