INTRODUCTION
Food service management is an activity which helps the organisation in becoming
effective and efficient. It is important for the restaurant to reduced waste and to minimise the
cost of the food that they are providing to their customers and food services management of the
organisation will help the company in achieving the goals of minimizing the cost (Scherhaufer
and et. al., 2018). It will help the company in attracting large number of audience and will also
make sure that the company is having high profit margins.

There are certain management practises that helps the organisation in serving food
effectively and efficiently. It is important for the organisation to make sure that they are working
according to the standards of the organisation and are working with utmost productivity and
creativity. In case of Hard Rock Cafe, the company make sure that they are continuously
reviewing the performance of their employees and will also make sure that they are continuously
providing constructive feedback to their employees in order to improve their performance.
Self evaluation: In this method the company provides an opportunity to their employees
to review their own performance on a set criteria. It is important for the employee to know where
they are good and where they need improvement (Rana, Tricase and De Cesare., 2021). It is
generally done during an office performance review so that further discussions can be made. It
helps the organisation to tell their employees effectively about their performance. The discussion
will make sure that there is no discrepancy in between the evaluation of employer and employee.
Ratings scale: In this method the employer provide grades to their employees according
to their performance. The grades are generally made in between one to ten and are based on how
effective the performance of the employee was during a particular period of time. The scaling
depends on the employer and the employee may sometimes does not agree with the evaluation of
the employer but then it is the duty of employer to make sure that they are providing effective
justification for their specific grading so that the employee can understand how and why they get
the grading.

Service industries make sure that their customers are satisfied and are willing to avail the
services of the company again. In this way the company will be able to retain their customers. In
this type of performance review measure, the company takes feedback from the customer who
are availing the services of the company. It will help the company in improving the performance
of employee and the employee will also get to know the details of their performance and the
action that they should avoid while dealing with the customers.

as the restaurants are all about good food and it is important for the organisation to provide
quality food to their customers. It is important for the organization to make sure that the kitchen
area is following proper safety standard and is also following proper hygiene standard so that the
company will be able to retain customers and can also have a good reputation. The company may
have to loose their business license if they are not following the safety standards provided by the

Financial area: It refers to the financial state of the company. It is important for the
organisation to make sure that they are allocating the funds effectively and the funds of the
company is utilized properly(Shah and et. al., 2019). One of the most scares resource of the
company is funds and they are needed to be utilized properly so that they can fulfil all their funds
related tasks. It is important for the organisation to make sure that they are working according to
