Sustainability is an important aspect in production function. There are various methods of
sustainability that are adopted by the organization in terms of reducing environmental risks. It is
not only helpful in improving the production function but also assist in reducing the impact on
environment.

Preliminary research
According to Furnham, Eracleous and Chamorro-Premuzic (2014), it is important to adopt
sustainable supply chain as it helps in reducing the environmental waste. Green supply chain is
considered in product design, source of material and selection, process of manufacturing,
delivery of final product to the final consumer. It helps in making the life of the product useful
enough after considering its sustainability as well. However, in contrast to this, as per the views
of Werner and DeSimone (2011), it is a responsibility of every company to opt for this
production function as it is the responsibility of the entities to save environment from any
harmful emission and pollutant waste.
Method of inquiry
Data collection
Data collection is an important aspect of any research. Hence, to conduct the present study,
both primary and secondary type of data collection method will be used. Primary data will be
collected through respondents which will be the first-hand data. However, secondary data will be
collected through books, journals, online sources, blogs, newspapers etc (Qu and Dumay, 2011).

Sampling
Data will be collected from 20 managers who are currently working in Ford in order to
achieve the outcome.
Data Analysis
Qualitative type of data analysis technique will be used to analyse the data that has been
collected to conduct the present research. Under qualitative type of data analysis, thematic
technique will be used to analyse the data.
Identification of ethical issues
It is important for the researcher to consider all the important ethical aspects while opting for
any research. These are:
Accuracy of data: The collected data must be accurate enough and all the information must be
gathered from authentic and reliable sources.
Proper citation: The information used from secondary sources must be properly cited.
Moreover, each information must be rephrased to avoid any plagiarism.
