Project Background:
Project background:
A kind of science and craft that used to create, manage, conserve and repair the forest
with woodland and its related resource for environmental and human benefits, is
known as Forestry. The forestry science includes the fundamentals of biological,
political, social, physical and managerial science. The theme of the project
background is Australian Forestry, that is the department of Agriculture industry.
Forestry plays an important role in the development of a nation, in different terms
like, in economic development, environmental development and employment of
thousands of people. The Australian agriculture department generates revenue of $23
billion with the employment of 70,000 people.
The main theme of the project is about the Australian organization, Australian Tree
Corp (ATC), that is the owner of large forested estates in Western Australia that used
to grow and sell trees. The company has 200,000 ha land in which they harvest
around 5 million trees on 10,000 ha in each year. The main goal of the organization is
planting and maintain the trees and create a supply chain of their products that
manufacturer by the trees. The process that used to manufacture the product is like,
planting, maintain, cutting, transport and process of manufacturing of products. It’s a
kind of business of the supply chain of products that depends on the forestry.
Project Goal:
As the technology change or organization need to change its development or
production model. Working as the consultant in the organization and now appointed
as in the role of Business analyst for the new project. the new project is to implement
some new strategy with a new campaign for the organization that would beneficial for
both the people and company. As per the discussion, the company used some old
techniques and systems for different operations of the company, that is required to
change as per the future requirement. Newly appointed CEO of the company, Charlie
with the new strategy manager, Stacy started work together for the new project that is
“Sustainable forest production and certification”. The goal of this new project is to
fulfil the company requirement to increase its production and resolve the legal issues.
The issues related to the launching of new rules related to leasing and others. The
organization failed to cover and increase its production compared to new companies

as they use the latest techniques and sources. The new project of sustainable forest
production and certification helps to increase production and save the environment.
The long-term goal of the company is to increase the chain of custody that connects
the consumers with the supportable growth and origin of the products. The chain of
custody certification has different steps from certification to responsible purchasing.
Project objective:
The objective of the project is to investigate the potentials of the current project
compare to the new project and its benefits to the Australian Tree Corp. allocated the
budget of $10,000 for the investigation of feasibility study of the project. a feasibility
study is related to the analysis of the different project related factors like technical,
legal, economic and project scheduling. It can say, it is the assumptions of completion
of a project successfully. It used to find the visibility of the different ideas and provide
knowledge about the project investment is worth or not. It includes internal project
constraints with internal corporate constraints and external constraints (Mukund,
2018).
The new project of “Sustainable forest production and certification” is about the
establishment, management and growth of the forest planted for production and
restoration. the project focus on the growth of genetic level as well as trees. Use the
latest techniques in this project that would be beneficial for forest management as
well as for the organization.
Project deliverable:
In the role of business analyst, define the project deliverables with including
information, documents, money, software and plan. These are the factors that include
in the process of the project deliverable and the output of the project include the
project plan, tools, applications, consultations and the test results with the contracts
(Moses, 2018).
The deliverables of the project are to increase the production with plantation and to
identify more species that would be beneficial for the organization. create a map of
communities with different monitor methods for the proper production. The project
deliverables include the list of strategies that implement for development of the
project. provide the demanded data that helpful for the decision making and improve
the communication knowledge with the stakeholder analysis. Increase the network of
production and certification helps to increase production and save the environment.

Strategic alignment of the project:
Implement the project strategies to make it successful to enhancing the skills and
knowledge. The project of forest management requires to implement some strategies
that are like:
o The government policies and legislation are required to implement in the system to
make all the process legal and authenticate. Take permission from the government
for cutting trees as these are the property of the nation.
o Also, apply the state forests environmental policies in the system to make sure the
process and act of the organization are not harmful to the environment.
o Divide the forest or land area into different zones as per the requirement and to
grow different species of the trees. Make different plans for each of the land area
and work over it. each zone area has different size and boundaries and makes plans
as the requirement of land zones.
o Implementing & monitoring: implement the strategies in the project and monitor
them regular basic. Check each phase of the project with its requirements and
project cost with schedule and the development process till the date.
o Reporting & Review: take a review of each phase of the project and report to the
project manager as well as to the CEO of the project. make changes as the
requirement in any phase of the project.
o Implement the strategy of planning, establishment, management and marketing of
the project. different kinds of design are used in the forestry like plantations,
woodlots, belts, wide spaced and native forests (Agriculture, 2016).
On the other side, also plan some more strategies for project management as:
o Finalise the details of the project with the complete understanding of stakeholders
and expectations involved in the project development.
o Set clear expectations from the project with the team members and their
responsibilities. Select the right team with the systems and assign the role to the
team members as per their skills and knowledge to complete the project
requirements.

Project requirements:
Project requirements are the blueprint of the project that includes different kinds of
requirements. The project requirement includes the business requirements,
stakeholder requirements, solution requirements and some other requirements that
need to follow and implement it a project. the solution requirements include the
functional and non-functional requirements. A project includes some other project
requirements like quality requirements and transition requirements.
Collect the requirement from different tools and techniques like conduct interviews,
surveys, document analysis, context diagram and others. The business requirement of
the project is to implement a project in the Australian tree corp. organization to
increase their production to implement new technologies. The stakeholder
requirements include some stakeholder that has enough knowledge of the related area
as well as skills to manage any risk of the project. deliver the quality products as the
output of the project and these requirements depends on the actions and process of the
project.
The forestry project includes some major requirements that help to manage the project
risk. Define the nature of the project and the production team to make the phases more
flexible. The policy area includes the macroeconomic policies and the structural
adjustment with land distribution and reservations. Check the population of the
particular area where the project is going to implement.

The limits of the current project are to lack of knowledge to the CEO of the project.

A work structure map of the organization that used to define the process of the work

basic tools to define the control and scope of the project. it used to find the factors of

Risk management:
A circumstance or an event that negatively affect the process of business is known as the risk,
for example stole data from the company system or some others. Risk categories into
different types for an organization like:
Strategic: make the strategies for the business objectives as to increase the decision
making
Compliance: compile the law and regulations standards with the code of practice
Financial: including the financial transactions with the system and structure of the
business
Operational: the process of administrative and operational
Environmental: include the external events that used to cover different condition
Reputational: define the character of the business
Risk management follows different steps as:
Identify the risk: identify the risk with using different techniques as establishing the
criteria to evaluate the risk with a defined structure
Analyse the risk: find different control tools to analyse the risk as well as a range of
different consequences to determine how they occur
Evaluate the risk: compare these risks with others and evaluate them on different
factors or criteria
Manage the risk: manage the risk with using different factors like avoiding, accepting,
reducing and transferring
Monitor and review: review the risk management plan and confirm the control over
this (Smallbusiness, 2019)
The risk in the area of forest products is to not find a new specialist for development
in the area. It is required to find some specialist to extend the services and increase the
production of the organization.
People who are interested to work in this area, are not paid many incentives as it is
required to increase the number of people who are willing to work in this area.
The new task in the forest area has less income to earn and the lack of knowledge of
new technologies in this area
