FORMING AN ARGUMENT 2
Impact of technology is enormous in today’s business world and it has elevated small
business enterprises to play in level field as large organizations. For instance, small business
owners are able to use technology to reduce business cost by using automation software to
perform back office functions, record keeping, and accounting. Besides, technology has assisted
small business owners to secure their sensitive information (Khan & Bokhari, 2018).
As a result, businesses are able to enable a secure environment for storing sensitive
information and personal information for their clients. In addition, majority of various software
in the market are considered to be user-friendly and assist owners with little knowledge on some
of the information technology available. Furthermore, technology in business has assisted
business owners as well as multinational companies to improve communication channels
(Stanimirovic & Vintar, 2015).
Today, people can communicate easily with their suppliers and business partners through
emails, texting, and websites among other applications (Ghobakhloo & Tang, 2015). Some of
these applications have enabled various companies to flood the market with their marketing
messages. Moreover, companies may use these devices to receive feedback from their client
regarding issues related to their products for purposes of improving their business and enhance
targeting their consumers.
Likewise, technology has enhanced employee productivity. This is evidenced by
employees from many organizations who are able to process more information at a much faster
rate compared to manual processes (Relich, 2017). Therefore, technology has tremendously
revolutionized business operations. Consequently, small business owners should develop a
competitive advantage in the economic market place through streamlining and integrating
technology in their operations to increase efficiency (McKinnon, 2014).
