1. Purpose
The statement of work discusses the work that is to be covered in a specific project
(Wright, 2018). It binds the five-season resort and the contractors in an agreement. In the
development of the report, there is a need to write all the project deliverables, milestones,
and all the end products. In essence, there is a need to be specific on the agreements that
are made, since this is one of the major problems that face the statement of work.
In essence, this document tries to devolve all the technological augmentation involved in
the construction of the four seasons resort. In order to create a luxury resort that fully
meets the demand of the people, it is important to understand that technology needs to be
incorporated into the project design and implementation (Dangerfield, Green, & Austin,
2010). Technological aspects of the luxury hotel design are a move away from the
traditional manual methodology, and as such, it is important to understand all the project
requirements.
1.1. Organization
Four seasons is an organization that has focused all its energies into the provision of
quality resort services. What is of most significance to this organization is the
technological enhancement of service provision. With the increasing demand for quality
services, there is a need to move away from the manual methodology of service provision
into an automated system. Biometric system, technological service provision and
technological security measures are some of the aspects that are discussed in this
document. The history of the company has no parallel and that being the case, there is a
major focus to increase the market share in Mexico by around 5%. Working on a tight

schedule, the project should be completed by the tear 2021 and its opening scheduled to
be on the same year.

This section discusses the project requirements in terms of the professional requirements
and the scope of work. It divulges into the technological and building requirements of the
five seasons resort. .
4.1. Task Description
In order to fully implement the project, there is an array of professional services that may
be required. One of the consulting services required is that of the IT experts. Being in a
technological era, the services of these professionals are essential for the eventual project
product. It has been indicated that the biometric system is of the essence when it comes to
the project and as such, there is a need to comprehensively develop the IT architecture.

There is also the need to ensure that there are civil and structural engineers (Giani, 2017)
who will provide a blueprint and the foundation for implementing the IT infrastructure.
Nevertheless, in order to optimize the use of the IT infrastructure, there needs to be the
development of applications that manage the whole system. Control of the building
infrastructure can be managed through the use of apps. Software experts will come in
handy in the development of applications that suit the building’s functionality. This
means that they will have to work closely with IT experts.
4.2. Scope of Work – ‘Statement of Work’
This section discusses the project requirements in terms of deliverables, milestones and
the eventual product output. This means that the scope of the project needs to be
discussed so that the consultants are well aware of the agreement.

4.2.1. Description
The contractors, in this case, civil engineers, IT experts and software engineers, are
mandated with the responsibility of ensuring that the building structure is technologically
equipped to ensure that the services provided in the luxury hotel are top-notch. This
means that the latest technology has to be applied in the development of the building
blueprint. The rooms are supposed to be technologically equipped to handle the
customers in both a security perspective and on the services provided. The building is
supposed to engage with the customer, which can only be achieved by technological
integration. This contract is expected to come to a conclusion by July 2021. Therefore,
one of the project milestones is the installation of It infrastructure all over the building.
This should be closely related to the actual building completion. The use of applications
to control the building marks the final product and should be about the same period as the
project completion.
Nevertheless, the project deliverables are as follows:
 An understanding of the current technologies available in the building and how
the required technology can be implemented.
 Design of a building structure that ensures the food services are automated.
 Ensuring that the building has an automated system that can be monitored through
the use of mobile applications.
 Design and installation of a biometric system that allows the guests and the
customers to access the rooms and the building premises.
 Sensors installation for seamless service provision.
 Installation of procurement technologies.

 Integration of the various technological blueprints with each other for efficient
service delivery.
In this line, the following professionals will be required:
 The civil engineers have an extensive task in providing building blueprints that
are compatible with the project requirements.

framework can be implemented throughout the building structure.
 Software engineers will work with the IT experts in order to ensure that the
applications can be integrated into the building structure.
