The external environment includes assessment of the target market segments
comprising of the customers and the various policies, laws and regulations along with the
taxation policies have affected the increased level of expenditures and also resulted in
increasing the profit margin. The local Government has helped in setting policies while the
Governance system could ensure smooth functioning of business along with better
collaboration with the stakeholders involved1.
The economic factors include investments by Government to develop the core
infrastructure and at the same time, penetrate the tier 2 and 3 markets for ensuing stable
business functioning. The skilled and knowledge of the workforce further should create
global opportunities and based on the exchange rate, the company would be able to gain long
term as well as short term success easily2.
The social factors include cultural aspects and social behaviour and lifestyles that
influence the behaviours of female customers while making purchases. The societal norms
and hierarchy along with the leisure interests could further make the female customers
interested about the designs and get influenced to place orders from Foxy Originals3. The

Team’s findings of internal analysis
The internal analysis represents the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
while expanding into the US market. The strengths include diversified flow of revenue
generation, great ability to manage innovation. The consumer driven innovation has been a
major strength while Foxy Originals also managed to meet the needs of people in different
market segments considering the financial analysis and market segmentation5. The margin of
contribution holds a strong market leadership position, which has also facilitated introduction
of new product lines.
The weaknesses include increased employee turnover and imitation by the
competitors can lead to new entrants and substitute products in the market. The per unit
revenue has reduced largely, which has also increased the expenditures for developing new
supply chain and logistics network.
The opportunities include management of online services to facilitate greater outreach
to the market segments and increasing the accessibility to the products6. The technological
innovations have facilitated online services and created better accessibility to products for the
clients. The lower rate of inflation could also create better stability in the marketplace.

changing demographics and chances of losing IPR and also the weak intellectual property

Reflection
From the case study, I have learned that the external and internal environmental
analysis are critical for assessing the market conditions and also meet the demands in the
marketplace. I have also understood that conducting the environmental analysis should assist
in delivering products and services accord to the market conditions, furthermore ensure
keeping up with the trends an ensure meeting the demands and expectations too. The value
chain analysis conducted should also be helpful for me, as the team member involved in the
process of global business expansion to ensure successful human resource management,
procurement, technological development and improving the organisational structure too. This
would allow me to make effective decisions and even focus on gaining growth and
development in both personal and professional career too.
