Introduction
A functional field is a community of individuals who have common expertise and expertise.
The aim of the business function should be to ensure that certain business operations run
smoothly. The foundation corporation is IOM Electronics Ltd. IOM Electronics Ltd is a very

organisations, as described below, in relation to the chosen entity.

accessible to society, including commercial, manufacturing, and technical activities.
Companies can vary in size from smaller companies to big corporations with activities all
over the world. It belongs to a vast portion of an entity that has allocated various tasks and
functions to each department. The corporation can enforce strategies and have the potential to
work efficiently with the aid of practical regions.
What is Functional areas of business
It is a significant part of an entity that has allocated numerous tasks and duties to each
division. The corporation will enforce strategies and work effectively with the assistance of
functional regions.
What are the key functional areas of a business?
A company has several functional areas that work together to keep things going smoothly.
Aside from that, there have been 4 main fields that are needed for a business to function:
communications, human resources, information technology, and financial planning (Pan, Lu
and Lei, 2018).

Marketing performs a critical role in an organization, assisting in the acquisition of clients
through the use of effective marketing tactics. IOM Electronics' communications functional
area aids in the promotion of their goods and services, as well as deciding how all items can
be distributed and designing pricing techniques. The company will also advertise itself using
innovative techniques, like digital marketing, that assists in appealing to a vast range of
consumers via social media, where the company can effectively engage with customers about
their goods and services.
Human Resource Management:
HRM helps IOM Electronic in selecting the best choice for the role and fulfilling the
organization's objectives. They ensure that the individual has all of the necessary
qualifications and experience for the job. They are also responsible for establishing
relationships in the workplace, offering wages and services to workers, and assisting in the
development of the company.
Customer Service:
Customer support is the organization in charge of coping with people's experiences with the
business. It encompasses a broad variety of roles, including customer support, order
management, and unsatisfied customers. In the case of the chosen organization, customer
care aids in the development, maintenance, and retention of customer relationships. This also
deals for customer reviews, which is passed on to the organization in order to enhance the
organization's operations (Seigler, 2017).
Finance:
The financial manager is critical to an organization because it is responsible for
coordinating and controlling the company's finances. The financial department of the chosen
corporation keeps track of all revenues gained and invested by the corporation, which aids in
making strategic decisions. The sale proceeds that are prepared for the spending budget and
future income must be ensured.

Research and Development:
In the background of the chosen organization, research and innovation assists throughout the
production of technological innovations and also the advancement of existing ones (Wagner,
2017). They still seek to improve the places where customers have sent input. The
development team ensures that they are aware of their rivals and their products, which refers
to the success of tactics for the company to succeed against them for higher growth.
Sales:
The salesperson assists the chosen organization in raising income and ensuring that it makes
any money by distributing goods and services. The sales and marketing work together to
increase visibility so that consumers become aware of the goods and services that are
available. As well as this, this also provides updates on their latest product launches
(Szafranek, 2018).

Skills needed by Marketing employees:
IOM Electronic's promotional workers have all of the necessary skills and experience to
further build a brand, which necessitates strong communication skills to quickly draw
customers. Staff members also can have processing skills, which can assist in assessing and
evaluating consumers' preferences and wishes. Additionally, creativity skills are needed for
workers in the preparation of various projects. Additionally, workers must have creativity
abilities to plan alternative ideas and new items and also themes for advertising (Hutchison
and Gallivan, 2018).
Skills needed by Human Resource Management employees:
Employees including human resource administration must be capable to leverage
organizational expertise to help build and retain every one of the company's records and
documents using payroll tools, staff scheduling, and profit management. Those who can also
be computer savvy for it aids in the management of employee documents and the publishing
of job openings on various websites. HRM has many tasks and duties, and workers want their

of the items at which the company works. The preferred company would have education in
brand recognition so that consumers' concerns can be addressed efficiently. When working on
mobile phones, it is important for all employees in the supporting team to monitor good
communication, which requires a firm tone of voice and a focus on the advertising whenever
they send. The selected organization's service can help with the settlement of customer
problems, and personnel must be courteous and efficient speakers (Ulivanova, Fedosova and
Antoshina, 2020).
Skills needed by Finance employees:
Finance is an essential part of organisation as it deals with all the fund related
activities. In context to IOM Electronic Ltd, the employees under financial department should
have the accounting skills for recording all the accounting transaction and accounting
regulations. The employees have the ability to read and discuss the financial statements for
providing the financial advisers. Also in order to sort and process the heavy data and
information, they should have the idea of all the emerging tools and technologies and their
uses which make the work easier for finance and accounting purposes.
Skills needed by Research and Development employees:
Employees throughout the technology development branch of the chosen corporation should
be capable to understand perspective of the enterprise on company operating. They should
possess management and leadership abilities, and also listening abilities that aid in the
dissemination of knowledge to all workers. Employees throughout R&D can be innovative
when developing new consumer methods (Yan, Shen and Xia, 2017).
Skills needed by Sales employees:
The sales department requires a company to distribute and buy multiple goods, which tends
to maximize revenue. However, sales workers must acquire all of the requisite expertise to
manage the distribution of goods, which contributes to the fulfillment of the strategic goals.

easily. People should also have negotiating experience when it comes to working with goods
and services. In addition, their attitude and communication skill should be good enough to

From the aforementioned discussion, this can be inferred that company plays a crucial
role in raising money from the sale of goods, and also that the operational field of business
comprises all divisions that relate to the organization's smooth activity. This study gives an
outline to company as well as the numerous functional areas that lead to the smooth
functioning of the organization. Which also covers communications, human resources,
customer relations, financial management, research and development, and sales, which have
been key business fields that aid in the operation of the organization in field of knowledge,
resulting in the development of productive and profitable businesses. And, in order for each
department to be successful in its activities, it needs staff with the requisite expertise to carry
out the activity, which is often clarified.
