AI Summary
This assignment presents a comprehensive Functional Health Pattern Community Assessment conducted by a student, focusing on the health of a Native American community. The assessment utilizes a structured approach, exploring various health patterns including values/beliefs, coping-stress tolerance, sexuality-reproductive, roles/relationships, self-perception-self concept, cognitive-perceptual, sleep/rest, activity/exercise, elimination, nutritional-metabolic, and health management. The student gathered data through community interviews, addressing specific questions related to each pattern. The assessment also includes an interview with a healthcare provider, exploring their experiences, the prevalent health issues, and the strategies implemented to address them. Key findings highlight the community's values, stressors, health challenges (such as mental health issues, diabetes, and tuberculosis), and the healthcare provider's approach to culturally competent care and suicide prevention. The assignment provides valuable insights into the health status and needs of the community, as well as the healthcare provider's role in addressing these needs.
