The American Red Cross is a non-governmental organization that is also commonly
known as the American National Red Cross. This organization is widely famous for assisting
the affected people because of nature, along with the human-made disaster. This paper
intends to give a review on the website of the American Red Cross by evaluating the Donor
Bill of Rights.
The function and role of the organization are providing relief to the people affected
because of the disaster and provide effective comforts to the military forces. According to
Redcross.org (2020), the organization also provides international services and provides
training to the people. For illustration, the organization provided training in Nepal to keep the
baby safe. They also donate blood to the people and create blood donation camping. The
function of the organization can be achieved with the help of effective raising of the fund in
the organization. The website of the organization has an easy way to raise fund from an
online transaction. There are three modes to raise funds from the public. Three modes are
donation by mail, donation by amazon pay and donation by phone. People who donate can
opt for the cause of donation. Four options include disaster relief, home fires, local or
particular community and address the urgent needs. However, people who donate have the
basic rights to know the information of the organization that would eventually build trust.
The Donor Bill of Rights was created for the benefits of the donor and generating the
awareness of the required information (Afpglobal.org, 2020).
The website of the American Red Cross has given all the details that are needed by
the donor. The website has provided the mission of the organization. It provided information
about the utilization of the fund in different areas. The website also represents all leaders and
healthcare providers facilitates global health. There is in-depth knowledge of the senior
leaders starting from their responsibilities to objectives of meeting the mission of the
organization. The website is user-friendly and stored enough information of the organization

option to delete names of the donor from the mailing lists. It has the option for seeking help
via phone or mail while donating. The donor can select the cause for donation. However, the
website does not specifically mention the exact receiver.
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that the website of the American Red
Cross is a user-friendly and have adequate information about the operation of an
organization. The website also provides the easy and accessible mode of raising a fund that is
needed for the vulnerable group. However, the website does not hold any information
regarding confidentiality. Also, the opportunity to remove the data of donors from their
database or mailing list is not mentioned.
