Report: Future Ethical Condemnations and Societal Values

How the Future Will Judge Us

Introduction
The issues that are related to the article involve homosexuality in which the husband has been
established to beat their wife as well as their children. The article shows that the father is
liable to beat his wife as well as children. The other issue involves forbidding women to vote
in the United States. It has also been established that plantation slavery has been condoned in
America (Appiah, 2019). I have been interested in the issue as it is imperative to know about
homosexuality. It is imperious to know that dominating a society is not a choice for males it
should be combat. It should be realised that women will make the survivors their companion
and look for their shield and spend their lives with those of the winners, not the losers.
Appiah has been able to convince the reader as it has provided disputed institution that has
been destined to be discredited. It has dealt with the way male aggression has been
dominating the territorial behaviour.
How the Future Will Judge Us
The reason that has grabbed my interest has been the way males has been dominating the
society. It also shows that the case that has been put up against slavery has acted as the
blinding moment of moral clarity. The author has discussed about the prison system that
shows that enormous waste of life in the prisons has been ethically troubling. It has been
established that only 1 percent of adults in the United States has been incarcerated (Appiah,
2010). The author has also discussed about the way animals are mistreated in the production
of meat. Individuals who consume factory-farmed bacon or chicken hardly provide a decent
justification for what they have been doing.
The article argues about the fact that homosexuality has been approved by Catholic Church.
It has been established that distinguishing between real-time movements has been hard. It has
also been argued that most of the transgenerational compulsions that ranges from parents to
children act as a wasteful attitude that exists towards the natural assets of the planet.
The emotional appeal that has been put forward by Appiah in his argument deals with the
environment. The author has reflected on the fact that the individuals has not been taking care
of the planet. The environment has been hampered due to greenhouse gases, pollution and
deforestation as well as overfishing (Appiah, 2010). The author has also been concerned
regarding isolated elderly individuals who have been warehoused in nursing homes. Although

the elderly individuals have the right to live without depending on someone, they are mostly
isolated. It has also been established that there has been few families that have went forward
to enjoy their summer vacation but leaving their elderly parents behind. They feel that it is
not possible to keep elderly individuals along with their children at the same time.
