APPENDIX 1: New Features of MS WORD (RM Unify version)
Dictate Function
It is a function through which text can be dictated in oral form. First of all Microsoft word and then open a document.
Then position the cursor where you want to start dictating Then click the dictate icon on the Home ribbbon. When
first time it is used, word may ask for permission to use the microphone(Preechaporn and et.al., 2012). hen grant
permission and individual can start speaking. Only a few sentences and paragraph can be dictated at a time and
then stop so that an individual can review the text for any mistakes. When it is required to stop dictation, press the
dictate icon again.
Immersive Reader
Immersive reader helps in terms of changing the font size, background colour and text spacing as well. Split the
words into syllables and then highlight verbs, adjectives, nouns and sub clauses. This option is available on the view
tab and in the document views group, select the immersive reader(Young and Baker., 2016). T Then the document
opens within the immersive reader. One or more immersive reader can be possible that depends on in which
manner an individual want to focus on the content in the document. Then click the close icon to exit immersive
reader.
Editor This feature offers grammar, spelling and writing tips via set of coloured lines which appear on screen beneath
words or phrases and screen in the documents as well(Vickery and et.al., 2015).This is a feature which is an AI-
powered service that supports in terms of bringing out the best writer in more than twenty languages whether it is
about writing a word doc, composing an email message or post on the website link Facebook or Linkedin.
