INTRODUCTION
Academic skills and writing are most crucial for the students in order to select the right
career path and achieving their goals in a best manner possible. This report will discuss the
importance and role of the effective communication skills in my life and in the life of individual
that wants to become leader of their field. The report will also describe the needs of the
professional development plan and academic success in order to gain good job and a happy and
best workplace. The report will further state the awareness of education and employment.
MAIN BODY
Reflection
Importance of Effective communication skill
From my personal experience, I believe that effective communication skill is important
for every person throughout their life whether they are in school, college or at workplace.
Basically, it helps me in building the strong trust of the people on myself and for this before
speaking I first listen to them very attentively. The right way to communicate our thought to
other people make them believe that our decision is right and beneficial for all one. The
communication skills help me in preventing myself from any challenges by solving them with
critical thinking and active listening. In resolving conflicts either at personal area and
professional area the effective communication plays major and crucial role. From my point, if an
individual wants to deliver clear objective of their team than effective communication is very
important. This is also helping me in taking feedback from my team member at the time of group
college assignment. I personally ask the strength and weakness of my team members and assign
them task as per their comfort. But I also assign them difficult task also so that they can learn
new things as well (Fonseca and et.al., 2019).
Needs of academic and professional development
Academic success is important for every student in order to proceed further in their career
path. And the same case with me, in order to start my career in finance field first I need to clear
my all semester of University with high grades and deep knowledge. Not only that it is also
needful for me at the time when I start my first job in order to gain practical experience. I always
want to become a finance manager for which high grades in college and proper academic and

professional skills is must. That’s why I always advised to my relatives and friends that besides
academic and theoretical knowledge they also need to join skills and personality development
courses. This course helps me in identifying my abilities and helps me in making decision
between right and wrong. Professional development is significant at workplace because it helps
in opening new opportunity for myself. These different skills are definitely going to help me in
gaining promotion and helps me reaching at the top of my career. Along with that development
plan also helps me in improving my confidence and concentration level (Chun, 2018).

Awareness of higher education and employment
I personally believe that education is the most important weapon with the help of which
each and every child of globe will achieve what they actually want to achieve. From my point of
view, every individual in the world have right on education whether they are rich or poor. And
for this the government of every country have to launch an education system in which the poor
people will also get education and their benefits. In order to spread awareness about the
education and its importance for both girl and boy is necessary for the government. If a girl will
study and become independent than they need to ask anyone about their goals and they will take
their life decision on their own basis. I also believe that education is directly linked with the
employment. Proving proper education system to all the students will definitely reduce the
unemployment rate of the country. It helps the poor people in changing their life and managing a
happy and stable life for themselves as well as for their family members (Schank and
Rieckmann, 2019).

Academic Writing (AW)
AW is a skill which help me in writing a clear, concise, evidence based and structured
concept in my examination and any other writing competition. The main purpose of mine behind
learning and developing this skill is to aid the readers understanding. With this I am able to
answer the question of the particular subject very specific to the concept rather than writing any
unnecessary thing. Now I have an ability to answer both formal and informal essay which not
only help me in my college and theoretical study but also going to help me at my workplace. It
helps me in developing my self-attendance towards any new concept and thought. It allows me to
learn wide variety of new topics of different subject and especially finance subject in which I
want to make my career. The most important benefit about this skill is that I am able to complete
my task and projects of the college on a specific given time period which I was lacking earlier
(Hosseinpour, Biria and Rezvani, 2019).
I daily practice writing one paper atleast in order to gain high score at my annual
examination. As the academic writing skill helps me realizing that if I really wants to frame good
concept in my writing than I need to start regular reading also. It is because without good reading
writing good concept is impossible. Not only that I also personally feel that If I make good
command over the academic writing than I may also start my career as a Finance academic
writing. This shows me my true abilities and help me in becoming hyper productive person. Now
I am able to make balance between the input and output. Such as if I study for 8 hours in a day, I
make sure that atleast 7 hours will be my productive learning hours (Golombek, Klingsieck and
Scharlau, 2018).

Summary
Importance of project workshop activities in developing my social and ethical awareness
and responsibility
Project workshop activities such as Gap analysis, who/what/when Metrix, Gannt chart
etc. helps me in improving my mind and also my thinking power. With this I am able to take
responsibility of my personal and professional work. This further helps me in developing my

social awareness with the help of which I am to visualize the society from emotional perspective.
Because of the different fun activities along with the social activity such as visiting local nursing
home with my classmates and teachers I am now able to understand their issues. For this, I
started funding some amount from my pocket money so that I can provide it to the needy poor
people. One of the activities that I have joined at my college days was cleaning up the nearby
parks and litter which is situated around my college. This activity realizes me that I also have to
help my family at their work especially my parents. From this activity, my active listening and
critical thinking skills get improved which not only help me in my personal life but also help me
at the time when I start my career as a first job in a company. Spreading the knowledge of
diversity is an activity which helps me in building strong relations with my all classmates
irrespective of their caste, colour, size etc (Lu, Zhao and Dai, 2018).
Despite social awareness these activities also develop my ethical awareness and the
impact of which is that now I talk with anyone with respect and politely. Listening music for 5
minutes a day helps me in improving my self-management skills and reducing my stress and
anxiety. The grounding techniques such as stress management exercise helps me in relaxing
myself whenever I feel stressed. The mindful meditation technique which I have learned in my
college will definitely help me in reducing my stress at the time of workload I face at the
workplace. Not only that the class contracts, councils and any own-choice activity helps me in
becoming responsible person. With this, I am able to take important decision of my life at my
own. From my personal experience, with this activity only I am able to take decision regarding
the marketing field as my career path. This project workshop activities provide project to the
students on team basis. Because it helps in improving the collaboration among the students while
in order to complete the task in best manner possible. Along with that it also helps me and my
team members in learning new things and concept because of sharing each other knowledge.
This also helps me in developing my leadership skills as a result I take responsibility of my
whole team project at the time when I was college student and it also help me when I join as
finance manager at my workplace (Ran, Hu and Li, 2020).
CONCLUSION
The report concludes that how the project workshop activities help me in achieving my
goals and learning new skills on daily basis. The report also concludes the personal development
plan of mine with the help of which I learned professional skills and these skills are going to help

me in gaining my job as finance manager in future. The report also concludes that leadership
skills help me in understanding and actively listing my project team very carefully. Not only that
the report also concludes that in order to decrease the unemployment rate of globe every country
have to spread awareness of education importance and employment significance.
