1. Introduction: (A short introduction)
Self-development is defined as the process of improving skills and abilities within an individual which could
help them in their future career. Self-development assist people in making them a better person both in
personal and professional lives (Feng, Chen and Tang, 2018). This also makes a person responsible towards
society and assist them in implementing ethical behaviour.
2. Answer to the question: Specify the mini project workshops that you attended and explain how and
why they contributed towards the development of your social and ethical awareness and responsibility.

I have attended a charity workshop where I my work was to arrange food and clothes resources for old people. I have
attended that workshop for almost 3 months under the supervision of experienced people. I have learned many skills and my

responsibility towards society. As I was doing work for old people I got an opportunity to learn various ethical behaviour from
them. My managing skills have improved by arranging food and clothes for them which has also helped me in my desired
field of working. From the experience of old people present there, I gained knowledge about how a person must behave in
society and why it is essential to respect values as well as believes of others. This workshop was important for me to attend
as through this I will be able to understand my responsibility towards people and society. This workshop has taught me how
a person could put their contribution in society and work in ethical ways by respecting every person. I have also observed
people present from different background and culture were living together. This represents unity in diversity which has made
me understood how people respect each other’s culture and values. I was also able to acquire knowledge about how people
are socially and ethically aware. This charity workshop is important for every person to attend as it will improve their
knowledge about how they should behave in a society and how they can contribute as a responsible citizen. This will also
make them realize about how unethical practices are happening in society towards old people and how much they are
suffering. Therefore, it is very essential to take accountability towards taking care of old people in society. This workshop has
helped me improving my communication skills. This communication pathway has also aided me in developing interpersonal
relationship with them and made me feel connected with them. This workshop has also helped me valuing old people and
how much they are important for society as they have experience and could provide right direction to people. This workshop
has helped me in making myself goal oriented and motivated me to accomplish something so that I could contribute in
society through my achievement. I have also become more responsible as a person and ethically aware towards my role in
society. This will help me in my future career as I will be able to make positive environment at my workplace which could
assist me in developing strong relationship with my subordinates.
