The clothes and the recent trends will attract the large number of people as in order to get
more trendy and fashionable the people will get attracted towards the retailing industry. Stackey
Dooley is the television presenter, media personality and documentary filmmaker. She
investigates that the clothes will wreck the planet and shows her concern about the cotton impact
on planet. This report includes the key issues and its concern, Corporate Social Responsibility
and its impact, incorporate of CSR.

There are some different issues that are raises and that are more important for the society
that are as defined below as:
Damages the environment: As the cotton industry will get developed the clothes in
terms of more fashion but it has shocking impact on climate as the insatiable appetite will
developed from the cheap clothes that is developed all across the world (Crane, 2019).
The most polluting industry: The cotton industry will make more pollution along with
the oil company as they need the 15,000 litre water to grow the cotton.
Chemical waste: The cotton industry produces more chemical waste by colouring the
clothes that has also include the wider amount of water wastage as well. As in near the
Citarum River there are around 400 factories that continuously releasing the toxic
chemicals as like mercury, cadmium, arsenic, lead and many others too.
Corporate social responsibility and its impact in fashion industry
CSR activities are performed by the business to spread self awareness with the aim to
contribute the societal goals and it is done in term of charitable cost. The fashion brand performs
the CSR activities even more and that is done by using the different social media platforms. The
fashion industry produces the different fashionable and trendy clothes to improvise the fashion
trends of the society. Thus they perform CSR to promote the positive image and value of the
industry. The industry uses this in order to make more publicity by which more and more
customers will know more about the different trendy clothes and the production and keep attract
with the business (Pal, 2018).

The CSR activities incorporate more used by fashion industry in their daily working and
to better respond the customer expectations and that is defined by the pestle analysis.
Political The Brexit will result to create more uncertainty and in that the financial market also get
imbalance by which the CSR activities it quite costly to the company. But the fashion industry
as like Zara, M&S, Monsoon, Next and River Island etc are having the business all across the
world thus they have generate more profit from different regions.
Economic The exchange rate will get increased in that the company will get huge cost while performing
the CSR activities. These industry has been followed on global level and trend must get
followed by all thus the business will get more profit as they get attention of fashion lovers
from all across the nations.
Social The people are more modern and get attracted towards the trendy clothes thus it is in favour of
fashion industry (Pedersen, 2018). The customers expectation and requirements will get
satisfied by these fashion industry on a continuous basis that is more beneficial for the
customers but not for the environment.
Technological The advancement gets used by fashion industry thus they perform CSR at social sites to grab
attention of more customers. The advanced technology has been used by the fashion industry
while managing the manufacturing but in that they get produce more chemical pollution that is
not in favour of the surrounding.
Environmental The environment get affected by the clothes industry thus it is not in favour of them but people
more know about plastic pollution rather than cotton pollution. The chemical wastage has
badly destroyed the water level that is consumed by a lot of people for their daily basis. The
advancement is so badly decentralised the surround that the change is quite impossible.
Legal The legalise must follow by the fashion industry by which they get more positive impact of
that have gain better profit. The company must follow the involvement of different chemicals
while manufacturing the cloth but it is not acceptable by the surround as it creates more
damage as the plastic does.
CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from above report that the fashion industry must produce the
trendy clothes but that has big impact on the climatic variation. The fashion industry must also
uses the CSR activities to promote their products and services by which more customer get relate
them with the company.
