TASK
Main stages of conducting research
Here are considered main stages of conducting research study as follows:-
Stage-1 identify the problem
In this phase, it is mainly focused on the research problem as develop a research
questions. It may be representing the problem and gain knowledge or information that help to
implement suitable actions.
Stage-2 Review the literature
It is another step in research and focus on the existing theories which already used in
previous studies. Investigator must review LR related research problem and then finding
appropriate conclusions.
Stage-3 Clarify the problem
In this phase, it will be collected large amount of data from different sources. Research
clarified the problem and narrow the scope of study.
Stage-4 Define the population
This kind of step will help to researcher where assigning a particular tasks of different
participants. Main focus on the research problem and purpose of study assist in identifying group
to involve in the study.
Stage-5 Analyse the relevant data or information
In this phase, it is focused on the research question and finding an accurate answer
according to plan. It can be reviewed and summarised in directly related to research questions.
Critically evaluate information sources
In research study, it has been evaluating the information sources which plays important part in
research process. It is necessary to critically evaluate information source because it provide the
support in reliable or authenticate data (Dzwigol, 2020). That’s why, research will use different
information sources such as e-library, databases, Google scholar. These will help to the
researcher where they can find better research result or outcome.

Define research methodology and why it is important in research
Research methodology is based on the procedures and techniques used to find, select and
analyse information relevant the topic. Research method is a process in which researcher will use
to collect or gather large amount of information. Afterwards, it will focus on further analysis
while finding a result or outcome of specific research problem (Nayak and Singh, 2021).
Generally, researcher will use qualitative and quantitative research method in case study. These
are considered two different methods that help to represent different results.
For purpose of research study, it is important to use appropriate research method like
qualitative or quantitative because it help to resolve research problem. The primary aim to give
appropriate work-plan of research.
Advantage and disadvantage of primary and secondary research
Advantage of primary research
 Researcher can easily collects data at single time, as per needed.
 It provide relevancy in data through objectives and research questions.
 Only research will access data
Disadvantage of primary research
 Expensive in nature
 It is very time consuming
 Handling invalid sample

 Secondary data can easily accessible
 Low price or cost
 Time-saving
Disadvantage of secondary research
 Researcher have no control over data quality
 It occurs biasness
 It is not timely collected data
Alternative research topic and design methodology used. Why?
If in case, researcher will get an opportunity to conduct the research, it would be selected
mixed research method. It is based on the both qualitative as well as qualitative. In order to
generate mix result within form of theoretical or numerical ways. The reason for selecting the
mixed approach because it can help researcher to find better result or outcome.
