INTRODUCTION
Contemporary management issues examine the way of thinking which is require for
addressing any issues as they emerge. In this, a key focus to society as how all issues are
interconnected with leadership, ethics and social responsibility in business decision. Galfar
Engineering and Contracting SAOG is founded by Dr. P. Mohamed Ali. It is a constructions
company in the Sultanate of Oman and established in 1972. company has turnover around US$ 1
billion. There approx 23000 workers are working only in Oman, with more than around 7,000
different types of equipments and plants (Wright and Herzog, 2012). This report will cover
business ethics and define critical evaluations of roles and overall strategies of Galfar. It will also
explain the diversity management programme and basic issues or problems of managing
employees in this company.

It is defined as managing any area of the business, in which include production, human
resources, marketing, accounting constitutes entire activities which helps to cover formal and
informal that is planning, implementation and controlling of an organisation. In other words,
business ethics management concern with direct attempt to formally as well as informally
manage ethical issues and problems with the help of specific policies, practices and programmes
to achieve firm's goals and objectives.

In most of the companies has designed there diversity and inclusions to recruit, attract
and to develop the most talented employees in the marketplace without looking at there gender,
age or some other dimensions (Evertson and Weinstein, 2013). Companies and committee do
also provides directional support to the employers with full of effort where gender equality is
putting a major role in the companies all around the world but in some of the countries like
Oman where women are more unemployed in the numbers when compared to the numbers of
men and those who are employed they are majorly in the role of departmental management. But
it can change if Omani's government can take an initiative of this. There are some employee
network group which helps the women which gives support and strength.
Managing diversity should be a part of companies or in a workplace where the policies
should be nice and easy so that an employee can work happily at his/her workplace. There
should be assessment according to there position and experience every quarter in a year and
company should judge the professional on the basis of age or gender (Bader and Tiselius,
2012). Managers and seniors should encourage diversity when creating a specialised group
among team members. Training also plays a major part in the company so that it can help the
employees to work efficiently and effectively without looking at there gender and age as it
experience means a lot in a company not the age an experienced and skilful person can do twice
of the work in place of a young fresher in the company.

issue defined the way of thinking for resolving any issues or problems. As it support in managing

and objectives. This report is based on Galfar Engineering and contracting company which is
situated in Oman. It explain about management of business ethics as well as roles and strategies
for managing those ethics. It also defined diversity management programmes of several
companies. So in this company, there were some critical issues or problems while managing
employees due to culture and nation difference. At the last, recommendation also has given for
improving performance.
