Importance of academic integrity
Integrity refers to the quality of a person of
being honest and trustworthy. Person having
integrity means doing the task with an
appropriate and correct manner. Academic
integrity is maintaining of the values and
ethical policy of academia. The values which
are helpful in learning and academic work are
mentioned below-
Honesty: Honesty means truthful about the
ideas that is generated by own and with the
help of others for writing assignment and
research reports. Intentional plagiarism can
also takes place while referencing research
papers.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities means
having a role of your own learning and
represents on the report. Responsibilities of
student is to not fall below the standards that
can be penalized in academic misconduct
such as plagiarism.
Fairness: Fairness in academic integrity is
facilitating unfair advantage in copying
assignments, cheating in exams and many
more. Unauthorized aid such as preprogramed
calculators, cheat sheets are considered to be
an academic misconduct.
Game Design Skills used to produce the game
Deck of cards for plagiarism is a game that is
played between different teams for answering
different questions based on plagiarism and
academic misconduct. This game consists of
different points assigned to each type of cards
and the teams have to answer for gaining the
points. It requires various skills for developing
the game which are mentioned below-
Creative skills: The game which is developed
requires creativity that how can a game will be
played. Creativity in this game consists of
assigning questions to the different categories
of cards with the points.
Technical skills: The game consists of certain
questions which are based on plagiarism and
academic misconduct in which the teams have
to answer for gaining points. It requires
technical skills for creating questions with the
correct answer.

Deck of Cards for Plagiarism
Deck of Cards for Plagiarism is a game that
represents player's knowledge about
plagiarism and academic misconduct.
Firstly, the whole class is divided into 5
teams with having equal number of students.
This game consists for 4 suits, each suits
having 13 cards. All cards contain a question
on plagiarism and academic misconduct.
Each team will have a chance of picking 1
card at a time from the suit. If the card picked
is from 2 to 10, the team will be asked a
question and awarded 20 points for correct
answer and 50 points if the card picked from
Ace, Jack, Queen or King and answer the
question correctly.
The team who reaches 200 first will win the
game.
