INTRODUCTION
Academic misconduct can be referred as serious crime under which an unfair advantage is
taken in respect to academics. It includes cheating, plagiarism, collusion and various other
(Biagioli, and et.al., 2019). It is highly important that the academic integrity need to be
maintained during the university studies. Academic integrity can be defined as expectation that
all the teachers, students as well as researchers would act with honesty, respect, trust, fairness
and responsibility (Jamieson and Howard, 2019). this poster presentation will describe the
importance of academic integrity along with a game which describe the strategies of avoiding
plagiarism and misconduct.
TASK-1
Design of game for developing strategies for the avoidance of plagiarism and misconduct
Academic misconduct:
It can be defined as misconduct in the field of academics or it can also be said as an
action which was taken for attempting an undue advantage in association with the academic
advantage (Parnther, 2020). This is a serious offence because it acts as barrier in relation with
acquiring knowledge.
Plagiarism:
It refers to the presentation of someone’s idea and work as own without taking their
consent and making its incorporation in the work of own (Perkins, Gezgin and Roe, 2020). This
is also counted as serious academic misconduct under which the work of another individual is
used by an individual.
It need to be reduced and for that the University need to make strong rules in association
with academic misconduct. This means taking of serious action against such misconduct and
action would lead to reduce the impact over the studies and integrity. This action will lead to
incorporate the academic integrity in the University or in academics. Imposition of penalties and
taking resignation or termination all are included under such action. With the taking of such
action the education system can become stronger and effective which ensure that the students
would learn for which they have enrolled in the University.
Game design:
As per this game there will be four team i.e. Team A, B, C and D.

This game will contain a bottle and the six colour paper i.e. Red, Blue, Green, Purple,
black and Yellow.
A set of 2 questions will be written over each paper.
However, out of six, the two paper will be blank i.e. it will not contain any question.
There will be 6 round of the game.
On getting the chance the team need to answer those question in 1.5 minute.
For every right answer, 10 points will be allotted.
This means the game will be of 80 points.
On wrong answer the team will get 0
There will be no negative point.
Passing will not be allowed.
Each team will be given a chance to spin the bottle. Under such chance any member can
spin the bottle.
The team who will be faced by the bottle will get the chance to choose a colour paper out
of 6 colour papers.
They need to answer the question which will be written at the back of the paper.
The questions will be designed in accordance with the raising of knowledge regarding the
academic misconduct and integrity. Also the strategies by which such misconduct can be
reduce will also be a part of the questions.

Why it is important that academic integrity need to be maintained?
Blue:
How do you define academic misconduct?
As per your view, by which strategies the academic misconduct can be reduced?
Green:
What do you mean by plagiarism?
Name any five causes which may lead to academic misconduct?

What action will you take so that the plagiarism will be reduced?

CONCLSUSION
From the poster presentation it can be concluded that the concept of academic integrity is
highly important with respect to every University and education sector. In the same way it is also
understood that in order to ensure better learning and knowledge grabbing, the University need
to make strict rules and provisions. This presentation also shows about the concept of Plagiarism
which is counted as one of the major academic misconduct.
