INTROUCTION
Academic integrity enables the student to perform their working by creative ideas and
knowledge while respecting the work of others. In general, it can be understood as an individual
person is essentially required to follow and practise the academic integrity which includes
honesty, trust and respect to another individual working. To study in any University, they have
certain ethics and principles which are necessary to be followed by the students and needs to
implement at their own work performance (Eaton and Christensen Hughes, 2022). Today, there
many students who do the misconducts which is unethical and punishable as well by the
authorities. However, in this current report will design a game through which the education and
knowledge related to academic integrity and plagiarism can be provided to an individual students
and can support them to not perform any unethical activities respectively. Moreover, the report
will illustrate the significance of skills which will be used in designing of a game.
MAIN BODY
Game Design
Fun and brain time
Game Setting
The game is played with the help of one ball, index cards, music system and students
which will be divided into groups. Each group will have five participants and perform the game
activity in ethical and appropriate manner. All the participants will sit in circular manner and
each individual will get the chance to answer the questions which are written in index cards. In
the index cards the questions will be related to academic integrity and plagiarism where students
will get 20 seconds to answer the questions and can understand the concept of academic
integrity.
How to Play
In the game planning, there are three teams where each team has five participants who
will play the game respectively. The index cards will already placed at the table in which
different questions will be written (Anohina-Naumeca, Tauginienė and Odineca, 2018). All the
participants has to sit in circular manner and a music will play where the students have to
transfer the ball to each other in circular manner only. As, the music stops and with whom
participant the ball will remain, have to pick one index card and answer question which is

written in the card. The question will be based on MCQ's and have to answer them in 20 seconds
only.
For example: As, the game starts, the music will play by the teacher and participants will pass
the ball to one another. All the participants will sit in circular form and pass the ball one by one.
As the music will stop and with whom one participant the ball remains, that an individual person
has to pick the index card and answer the question (Garwe, 2019).The question is related to
academic integrity and plagiarism and deliver the appropriate knowledge to the students which
helps them to perform accordingly. The questions are based on MCQ's and should be answered
within 20 seconds. The team which will give the maximum number of correct answer will win
the game. There is no negative marking for incorrect answer and no option for pass as well. The
team who scored higher comparing to other teams will be winner of the game.
TASK 2
Instructions for playing the game-
The Fun & Brain Time game requires to give many of the instructions to the player such as-
There are basically three teams and each of the team will be comprised of five members.
Each of the team that is A, B and C will be getting the chance one by one after each
other.
The questions which will be asked to the team members are in the form of the MCQ’s.
No question will be repeated again after it will be asked to the members.
The questions cannot even transfer or passed to any other team.
If any of the members of team found cheating, will be resulted to elimination of that
whole team (Zh, 2019).
The team which will be scoring the highest points will be considered as winner of game.
There will be no negative marking for any of the wrong answers by the team members.
Importance of academic integrity at the University-
The academic integrity can be defined as putting all the values into the practices by
working very honestly at the university. This usually involves being fair to other students, taking
of the responsibilities effectively, being highly accountable for learning and for their own tasks
as well as following of the conventions of the scholarship. This is basically the expectations

within which the researchers, students, teachers as well as the all the other team members of the
academic areas acting with the honesty, fairness, trust, respectfully as well as responsibly.
The Importance of the academic integrity is as follows:
For learning purpose: The main purpose of the academic integrity is to learn the things by
doing it ourselves. If the students will be cheating they will be presenting others work and this
will not allow them to learn the things effectively (Stoesz and Los, 2019).
For ensuring the quality of learning and teaching: The academic integrity keeps the eye on
the students as well as on the teachers that they are maintaining the quality of the teaching and
learning. If the universities will not be following the academic integrity, they will be allowed for
cheating and plagiarism and due to this, there will be no guarantee of maintaining the quality of
learning.
Following rules and regulations: Incorporating the academic integrity will lead to the follow
some of the policies, procedures as well as the guidelines of the university. This will enable the
university to follow them and maintain the fairness, trust and honesty within the overall learning
process.
Promotion of creativity and innovation: Through the academic honesty, the teachers are able
to have the clarity and the accuracy for the performance of students and this leads to improve the
performance of the students. This gives the equal attention to the learners which shows the
honesty within the class.
Encouraging the ethical behaviour in university: Academic integrity is highly embedded in
the principles of the ethical behaviour like equality, sense of the responsibility and many more.
Ethical behaviour is very essential, within the higher education and this can be incorporated
through the academic integrity.
Skills used within the designing of the game-
While designing the game, there are various kinds of the skills which are enhanced by
using them for the designing of the game. These skills are requiring as well for designing of the
games for the better production of the game for the audience. The skills which are used while
designing the Fun & Brain time game are such as-
Planning and organising: The first and the foremost skill which is used while designing the
game is to be sure for the type of the game the game designer is designing. This involves setting
of the goals as well as planning which will help in making the overall process smooth and much

easier. There are various ways which will help the game designer to improve the overall criteria
for the planning such as by being aware for the risks, knowing the opportunities, being always
ready for overcoming the obstacles, analysing the correct and reliable information and many
more (Cansu and Cansu, 2019).
Effective imagination power: The game designing is considered as one of the very skilled task.
This can be designed by the individual who has very good imagination skills. The skills which
was used for producing the Fun & Brain time game is to have the effective imagination skills
which will help in producing the best game for the audience. This takes lot of the hard work and
efforts of the game designer to develop and produce the most suitable game for the audience.
Following the communication ethics: The interaction can be defined as the development of the
better game designing. Having such technical skills will help them in developing the best way for
staying connected with the mass media for effective game designing. This highly affects the
efficiency of the work as well as the capabilities of designing the Fun & Brain game.
Keeping mind active: It is very essential for the individual or the game designer to keep the
mind active as well as present as this will help them in producing the most suitable game for the
audience (Papadimitriou, 2022). This has helped in gaining much knowledge which will enable
them to grasp the different types of the concepts. This has very long lasting impacts on the
results of the games produced by the game designer.
Developing the team working ability: This is one of the most prominent skills which is used
while producing the games for the audience. As for developing the games the game designer has
to work with various types of the teams.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that it is very important for the players to follow
the instruction while playing the games. The above report has discussed the game scenario as
well as the ways in which the game will be played. Along with this, the instruction of playing
games as well as the importance of academic integrity has been discussed.
