Academic integrity is the positive way in which the students, teachers,
researchers and other related community are expected to act. This
involves the using of honesty, fairness and knowing and implementing
the responsibility that builds trust in students related to their level of
eduction (Kennedy and Sundberg, 2020). The following of this topic can
help the students in gaining actual knowledge and in many other ways.
There are several importance of academic integrity which are discussed
in the following points :
Best chances of success – The using of academic integrity provides
with actual results and leads to the involvement of actual knowledge
in an individual. This gives the most chances of success to the
individual by having the required knowledge and learnings for their
future development.
Avoiding bad consequences – There are several types of rules and
regulations formed by the government and universities for
misconducting activities. According to these rules and regulations, the
student or any other person that involve in misconducting activity if
prone to various punishments according to the level of misconduct
(Leyva, Tamis-LeMonda and Yoshikawa, 2019). These punishments
can be – suspension form the university and failing in the assignment
or exam.
The students are divided into groups that consists of 4 member each based
on their presented sitting format and the teachers must ensure that the
involve a good ratio of intelligent and weak students for maintaining the
suspense of competition. At a time 5 teams will play
A bowl is placed in front of the teams and audience in opposite form to
maintain the honesty. The bowl will have different cards in it that has
different academic and its misconduct related topics written on them such
as types of academic misconduct and ways through in which they can be
avoided. One by one, a player of a team will go to bowl and pick a card
up.
The topic mentioned on the chosen card will be discussed by the team
The time for discussion will be 10 minutes. After that no discussions will
be allowed and the teams have to present a detail information about the
topic in front of the audience with involvement of all the 4 members of a
team.
There will a group of teachers that will judge the performance of students
and give them marks according to their presentation. The team, that has
presented their topics in the best way and made a huge impact in building
the responsibility of students towards the related concern will win the
game. The wining team will be provided with awards.
