Introduction
Academic skills are defined as the habits which are helpful in benefiting a person while
doing various things such as pursuing learning, research and many others (Brandlistuen and
et.al., 2021). Such skills comprises of various analysis, communication, studying, social
planning, technical skills and many others. Under this report, the skill development is done with
the help of game development.
TASK 1
Game Designing in order to develop strategies for avoiding the academic plagiarism and
misconduct.
The game will be made in order to develop the understanding of academic plagiarism so
that the academic plagiarism and misconduct can be avoided. It is necessary to outline the whole
criteria for the academic misconduct as well as plagiarism, in order to fulfil the purpose (Bretag,
2018).
Academic misconduct refers to type of unfair means that takes place due to deal with
using unfair means that are against the guidelines of the university such as cheating, plagiarism,
access to university materials before they are officially available for the students and many
others.
As the students are liable to be punished if any student is found to be guilty as per the
various guidelines and the policies of the university . Plagiarism consists of the concept by using
material facts as well as information without proper references and citations. To avoid the
incidents of the plagiarism, it is a must for the students to avoid the copying the several passages,
rephrasing the work which are available through several online and offline sources as well as
using the views and thoughts of the author without the acknowledgement in the project reports
(Lin and Magnuson, 2018).
TASK 2
Instructions of playing the Game
In order to understand the whole concept of academic integrity so that a better
understanding can be made, it is important for all the students to put all the efforts with the help
of game design development. To play this game, the students will be divided between the two
groups ( Fatemi and Saito,2020).

A basket will contain 10 balls of two colours namely red and white in which the each player will
be asked to choose a ball and a question will be asked that will comprise of 30 points. Total
points will be 120 points out of 4 questions. In order to decide the winner, the team members will
be asked a bonus question in form of a buzzer round. It will be necessary for the team to get a
total of 90 points in order to fulfil the criteria in order to win.
The questions that can be asked in the game have been discussed below.
Question 1- When we talk about academic misconduct, is a report project is submitted without
submission” considered as an academic misconduct ?

Importance of Academic Integrity at University
Academic Integrity is said to be the act of honesty, trust and responsibility which are performed
by several teachers, researchers as well as students (Sefcik, Striepe and Yorke, 2019). These are
required to be performed with various factors such as with trust, honesty, fairness, responsibility
also. The act where in the academic integrity breaches, is termed as academic misconduct and
academic dishonesty. It is necessary for the students of the University to elevate the expectations

in form of academic integrity. The academic integrity can be maintained by providing the
solutions to the problems.
Academic integrity is important at the University level so that the best assessments can be
delivered with the help of honest attitude. Another advantage of the academic integrity is that the
individual invests time and efforts in the studies which further facilitate as a stepping stone for
success in a specific field or career in coming future. s
In aspect of the standards, the University is required to be consistent and trustworthy so
that the confidence can be built among the graduates and this is the reason the University
considers the issue of academic misconduct in a serious manner.
The academic integrity supports the person to make influence of the various ideas that
further helps in marking the influence as well. The academic integrity helps in building the
knowledge within the individual. The academic integrity is helpful in providing credit to the
people whose information is being used.
Reflection of skills used to produce the game
There are various skills that have helped while developing the game. The skills are
explained below-
Creativity- The whole project helped in academic integrity has helped in performing
the several tasks of providing project report in order to develop creativity skills. The
project has helped in making the content and the report was made in an appropriate
manner.
Time management skills- The preparation of the project has helped me in improving
my time management skills as the difficult tasks has been completed in the given time
periods. The skill has also helped me in making maximum use of the time in the most
efficient manner that allows to enhance both the personal and the professional tasks.
Research skills- The research skills got improved during the project as it helps us in
adopting the several research activities and further helps in raising the concentration
level of an individual.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded form the above report that in order to get rid of plagiarism and some
academic misconduct activities it is important for the students to have academic integrity in

order to excel in the career. Moreover, the academic integrity can also be developed with the
help of academic games.
