As per the view of Awasthi (2019) academic integrity is the expectation
that teacher as well as students to act in honest manner with their work.
Thus, it is considered as a fundamental to learning, teaching within a
University, which allows students and staff to build the ideas and
knowledge for their work. The principle on which academic integrity is
relied include honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility so that
student can understand about their own performance. Also, by complying
with these principles assist the individual to work in an effective manner
and are considered as a truly foundational to an academy.
In the perspective of students, academic integrity is all about making
ethical decision, asking questions and follow instruction whenever they
found any difficult situation so that they meet the defined aim. Therefore,
it has been reflected that when a student perform the work in an ethical
manner, then the chances of getting marks will be higher and this provide
a better flow to a work as well. In professional context, it can be stated
that it assist to build a brand image so that it assist to create a base
foundation for the career growth. Foltýnek and et.al., (2020) explained in
their study that there is a need to comply with academic integrity and
non-adhering with principle always create a negative impact over the
student’s career. For example, if students found with any type of
misconduct, then University immediately take an action and might
terminate or suspend them. This in turn affect their performance and
cause negative impact in front of other student.

The aim of this game is to inform all the students about the importance of
academic integrity so that they will avoid the misconduct during an examination.
The name of the game is Goblin threat in which different questions will be asked
to the students which entails about the importance of academic misconduct.
Under this, different instruction need to be keep on mind that helps to raise the
knowledge as well.
How to play:
3 students will play the game in a group of 3 members in order to show their
understanding towards a game. This will be played with the help of professor and
if the student is not able to provide a correct answer then he/she will not be
proceed towards next step. Here, no student will took a help from their professor.
At the end the professor will share the correct answer and in a limited time, the
student need to complete all the goblins that helps to understand the importance
of academic integrity.
This will be played by students and in each correct answer in shot, 1 point will be
allotted and if all 13 goblins will be collected by the students by considering
three stages with a set tenure, the team will be declared as a winner.
Finishing the game:
The winner of this game is decided by number of highest score who complete the
same in less time.
The instruction to complete the game are as mentioned below
There will be three teams which consist 3 players who help their leader to
get a correct answer quickly.
No repeated question will be asked when finding a goblin.
Time to complete all the stages will be only 10 minutes for each team
The total score is 50 and there will be no negative marking.
Once the stage will be completed, then only the student or participant is
able to proceed to further.
No option to skip the game or any question.
All the question are either MCQ, or True/ False, Match the column which
are related to academic integrity.
