INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is one of the most important thing for learner during their academic
session, violating integrity and performing misconduct can impact their career life. Leaner need
to avoid act of plagiarism, this simply means copying work and using easy way to clear
academic session. Learner need to understand value of academic integrity and build
professionalism during learning session (Bertram Gallant, 2017). This report will discuss
importance of academic integrity and plagiarism. Later this report will craft a game for leaner to
build strategies that avoid plagiarism and academic misconduct. At last this report will develop a
poster presenting instructions, explanation, summary and skills used in development and crafting
of game.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Passing the parcel:
Passing the parcel is one of the most enjoyable game that keep people entertain both, physically
and mentally. This game is design in such a way that student will be engaged in every activity,
mainly answering question related to academic integrity. In the preparation of game, gift is
wrapped in reusable decorative paper. Student will be divided into teams that effectively work
and think together to win the game, leaner have to coordinate with team member in winning
passing the parcel game (Bretag, 2016). During this game, academic integrity of learner will be
tested, each question is related to academic integrity and related to maintaining integrity during
academic session. This game will increase knowledge of team and develop skill.
How to play:
To play passing the parcel game there are 7 steps:
Step 1: team of 4 will be build, each member will participate in game. There will be 4 teams,
each team will get chance to participate in game and winner will avail gift that is wrapped in
parcel. This parcel is main element of the game, this contains gift that will be distributed to
winner team and honoured in front of other team.
Step 2: during the game, team one will sit in circle holding parcel, during the game, music will
play and each member have to pass the parcel until music is stopped. Music is played by host
who is not participating in game but will monitor each and every member.

Step 3: when music is stopped, whoever holding the parcel need to answer question provided by
host, if team member successfully given all answer correctly then their chance of wining will
increase. Depending on host, there will be two question for each team, these questions are chose
the correct option (Bretag, 2018). Some question in the game are:

Step 4: after first round, host will restart music and second team will continue passing the parcel
game. Host have responsibility to monitor each and every movement of member and need to
maintain fairness of game (Burke and Bristor, 2016). Team second will answer completely
different question, if they fail to answer both question then they will be eliminated.
Step 5: all team will participate and perform passing the parcel one by one, set of question will
be changing in each team to avoid any kind of cheating. Host need to provide fairness during the
game by designing similar question, all four team will get equal chance to answer question
within 25 seconds. After 25 second if team is unable to answer two question then they will be
eliminated.
Step 6: there is high chance of draw, team can face issue of draw because there is low number of
question, host have to craft two question that is quite difficult to answer. If one of both team able
to answer question then they will consider as winner of game.
Step 7: this is finale of game where one team will be winner, during this stage winner will be
announced. Team who won the game will open parcel and host need to provide at leat four gift in
parcel which will be distributed among member. Winner team can share gift with other team to
show respect which is part of academic integrity and process (Sefcik, Striepe and Yorke,c 2019).
TASK 2
Instruction to play this game:
 All learner have to form team of four, later they need to sit down in circle and one team
member will be given parcel.
 Host will start music, and they will stop music accordingly, music will not be long but
each member must have parcel in their hand.
 Host will stop music and the one who is holding parcel need to stand up and have to
answer two question, team responsibility will be on shoulder of one person which will
make this game more interesting.
 After addressing two question, team will change and second team will take place, host
will announce to continue game and will restart music. Same process will be repeated and
team will answer two question.

 After all round, host will announce name of winner team and will provide them parcel
which is containing four gifts which will be distributed to each member.
Importance of academic integrity in universities:
Academic integrity is one of the most important thing during academic session, integrity
is symbol of professionalism allowing learner to maintain honesty and fairness in their work.
This is not only applied to student but teacher and universities themselves have to follow
integrity to maintain effectiveness of fair work (Morris, 2018). Learner who perform plagiarism
and cheating may face issue that can impact their academic as well as career life, teacher need to
professional to address and meet learning need of learner during academic session. Academic
integrity is pillar of universities and play vital role in maintaining high level of education, there
are certain reason why academic integrity is important, these are:
Honesty: honesty is very important for learner, teacher as well as universities because education
is connected with teaching honesty. Learner need to maintain honesty with their activity for
example learner need to avoid plagiarism in their work and need to provide original work that
contain zero plagiarism, this is only possible if they follow academic integrity and understand its
importance during academic session.
Trust: trust is another important pillar which support integrity in universities, learner need to
trust their teacher and teacher need to trust authority which have responsibility to maintain
academic integrity (Randall, 2016). There are many cases where teacher's right are violated by
universities, authority need to avoid any kind of misconduct or act that can impact trust between
universities and teacher.
Fairness: fairness simply means performing task in fair manner avoiding any kind of act that
violate integrity, teacher need to provide fair education to student. It is very clear that sometimes
group of learner sometimes perform those activities or act that violate policy of universities, it is
responsibility of teacher to fairly treat each member of group and punish them equally and fairly.
Fair system of universities allow learner to learn fairness during academic session.
Skill used in designing of game:
Creativity skills: passing the parcel game is fully creativity and entertain which engage student
in parts of game, while crafting this game, I have used creativity skills as core ability in
designing this game (Robinson and Glanzer, 2017). I have selected the best resource that help me

to build game without indulging extra affords and skills, creativity skills help me not only to
craft this game but allowed me to set fair game rule that can promote academic integrity.
Time management skills: I have used time management skills to craft passing the parcel game,
this allowed me to manage all activities within time frame and helped me to avoid consumption
of extra time and afford of team and its member. Due to this skill, I have achieved all learning
outcome of this game and provided an effective game that increase knowledge of learner in
academic integrity during academic session.
Communication skills: every academic game need fuel of communication that can bring
easiness in understand and crafting of game, passing the parcel is game where each and every
member have to communicate and listen carefully to instruction. I have used communication
skills to effectively illustrate game to team and helped them to solve any queries that are raising.
CONCLUSION
This report has discussed academic integrity and its importance during academic session.
Later this report has crafted passing the parcel game and include each and every member. Later
this report has discussed game setting which highlight overview of game and understand how to
play this game. Later this report has discussed instruction to play this game and understand
importance of academic integrity in university. At last this report has discussed skilled used in
crafting of game.
