BMP3003 Further Academic Skills
INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is the moral code of ethical policy
where students and staff have the freedom to build new ideas, knowledge
and creative works while respecting work of others. For students, it is
important to understand the value of academic integrity which involves
honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibilities and can be able to
develop their knowledge in effective way (Brown, Isbel, Logan and et.al.,
2020). The University Campus have certain ethical principles and
considerations which is adhered by students and needs to practise the
ethics in definite way. It is important to prevent students to do not
misconduct in their workings and learnings and puts efforts to develop
their own knowledge by maintaining the integrity and should avoid
plagiarism. The report will lay out emphasis of designing a game which
provides the knowledge of integrity and plagiarism. Along with this, it
will discuss about why academic integrity is important and skills which
will use in designing the game.
Game Setting
The game is played with spinning wheel, index cards and book in which
different shapes are made. The spinning wheel have different shapes name like
triangle, square, circle, oval, rectangle and cylinder. The wheel is placed on
stand and each student have to come and rotate the wheel. The shape name
which pointed out, the student have to find the similar shape which is made in
shape book within the 10 seconds. After that the students have to answer the
questions which will be written on the similar shape index cards.
How to play: There are four teams and each team has four participants where
the they have to come one by one and spin the wheel. The index cards of
different similar shapes will be placed on the table which includes shapes like
triangle, circle, oval, rectangle, cylinder, square. Behind each card there is a
question which the students has to answer. The shape's name which comes on
wheel has to identified in the shapes book within 10 seconds and have to
answer the question written on similar shape index card.
For example: If pointer stops on square shape, then the participant has to
identify the square shape in the book and have to pick the square shaped index
card and answer the question written on it. Each card shape has different
questions and no shape is repeated. The questions which will be asked to the
participants will be multiple choice based questions. Questions will be related
to academic integrity and will only give 10 seconds for identifying the shape
in the book. There is no negative marking for incorrect identification and no
option for pass as well. The team who scored higher comparing to other teams
will be winner of the game.
According to (Blau, Goldberg and et.al.,
2021), it is important for an individual to
understand the role and concept of academic
integrity in University. When an individual
person works at someplace they have to
follow the ethics and rules which has been
made over there. Similarly, in University the
students are responsible to practise all the
rules and laws which has been implemented
at the University Campus

The team whose score is more than other teams will be the winner.
There is no option for negative marking for wrong answer.
No option for pass as well.
Creativity: Creativity skill is used by me while
planning and completing the game in appropriate
manner. From playing the game, I need to implement
some strategy from where I can educate and ask the
questions of the academic integrity from where the
students can be able to understand the effectivness of
the creative mind-set (Reedy, Wurm and et.al., 2021).
Design: Designing skill help and supported me design
and create a game in definite manner. I tried different
types of applications for designing of game and also
put much efforts to implement the game accordingly.
Also, I tested the game by playing it by my own and
created the poster of the game designing for better
understanding.
