INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is an important aspect related with the student life and the University
too. Academic integrity would lead to the development and learning of new concept and
exploration of knowledge among the students. It also assists the University in the maintenance of
their image among other Universities (Maslova, 2020). Violation of academic integrity would be
counted as illegal and known as academic misconduct. Thus, every University need to make
adequate and strict rules against it so that the misconduct would be reduced and a healthy and
fair environment would be entitled to students. This poster presentation will discuss the
importance of academic integrity along with raising they importance among the students through
the mode of development of game. Under this poster a description of various skills that are used
in game development would also be included.
TASK-1
Development of game
Academic misconduct refers to the violation of academic integration in terms of
performance of cheating or the adoption of unfair and wrong mode of cooperation related with
studies (Biagioli and et.al., 2018). Academic misconduct is considered as severe crime that may
even lead to failure or penalty. It also have a sever negative impact towards the future career of
students along with regarding them from learning and exploring knowledge.
Plagiarism is also an academic misconduct that is related with the presentation of ideas of
some other person as your own without the taking of their consent. Plagiarism would lead to
have an impact towards the academic career of an individual in terms of non-getting of
knowledge and information of the course because it involves the using of someone’s work
without taking consideration of own research (Awasthi, 2019). In order to raise awareness
regarding academic misconduct and plagiarism the following game would play an important
role.
It is to be noted that performance of misconduct or the plagiarism would be counted as
illegal and highly resisted with respect to the students. This is because it debarred from gaining
adequate knowledge and at the same time also affect other students who are keen interested in
learning.

It is very important that the concept of academic misconduct and plagiarism would be
reduced so that the students will able a positive exposure of studies. This will also work as a
major opportunity for the bright and brilliant students to explore their talent and develop new
knowledge and skill with respect to the academics (Perkins, Gezgin and Roe, 2020). At the same
time it is equally important for the University that adequate steps in terms of formulation of rules
and strict regulations would be made so that this act would be minimised and reduced and
academic integrity would be restored.
Game design:
As per this game there will be 4 team comprised of 5 players in each team.
The game will be based on plagiarism or academic misconduct under which relevant
questions regarding the concept would be asked to the students.
There will be 4 different colour paper i.e. red, green, blue and yellow. There will be total
8 papers of which 2 set of individual question will be made. Each paper will contain 2
question.
This means there will be a total of 16 questions that is made on the basis of academic
misconduct and plagiarism.
The game will be played for the 8 rounds under which the respective team will need to
give the answer.
Passing of chance will not be allowed.
Every team will need to be active so that every team will get an equal chance of
answering the question.
The team will be given +5 points for right answer, 0 for no answer and -5 for wrong
answer.
The total time of 2 minutes will be given for answer under which the concerned team will
need to give the answer.
The team who score the maximum point will win the game.
The winning criteria will also include the giving up of maximum right answer to the
question.
The game will run in terms of musical passing the parcel mode under which music will
be played and the team need to make passing of parcel.

When the music will stop the respective team who have parcel will got the chance to give
the answer by selecting the card.
This game will enable the development of knowledge regarding the concept of academic
misconduct and its impact towards the student career and future course of action.
Also the questions that would be involved in the game must be highly kept in accordance
with the concept of academic misconduct and integrity. Also the question in relation with
plagiarism would be involved so that the knowledge regarding the misconduct and
plagiarism would be raised.
The questions that may be asked would include:
Red paper:
What is academic integrity?
Does academic integrity matter your studies?
What is plagiarism?
How you will minimise plagiarism?
Green paper:
According to you what will constitute cheating?
How do you make proper paraphrasing?
According to you making copy of someone’s work would be counted as right in
academics? Please justify your answer.
How you define academic misconduct?
Blue paper:
List at least 5 major causes of academic misconduct.
According to you what are the ways by which academic misconduct must be reduced?
How does academic misconduct would affect you?
According to you what must be the consequences of plagiarism and academic
misconduct?
Yellow paper:
If you would continue wring the exam paper after the allotted time of exam then is it
academic misconduct? If yes, then how you will avoid it
What are the major five fundamental values of academic integrity?
By what actions you will show academic integrity?

CONCLUSION
From the above poster presentation, it can be concluded that the game play an important role
in the delivery of information and raising of awareness regarding the academic misconduct and
plagiarism. In the same way this poster also summarizes the importance of the academic integrity
that how it helps in gaining of knowledge and exploration of ideas. Likewise, it is also
understood that with the aspect of academic misconduct and plagiarism the students are not only
which got affected but the University would also impact in terms of exploitation of the name.
