WEEK 5 1
Gamin technology and its ethical issues
The digital technologies are used to reach their objectives very easily, but due to some of these digital
technologies, some unethical issues are also being occurred. I have chosen this particular topic due to
increased unethical practices in organizations.
I have taken the industry of gaming and the digital technology being chosen is the advancement of
gaming. As the gaming industry is facing the huge technological advancements. The gaming
technology has updated from the 32-bit retro games to the real 3D life gaming which is one of the
ultimate updates by the gaming industry. It is the greatest achievement that is being made by the
gaming industry. But on the other aspect, I have seen the impact of some modern games like 3D
fighting games or an adventure action games which are considered as the violent games. The main
purpose of choosing this topic is due to these violent games the society, and the younger generation is
becoming violet which is creating an incremental violence.( Silcock, M,2016)
Three research question
The three critical questions that I would like to address according to the chosen topic are:
1. Is gaming industry actually impacting the social life of children and the gamer?
As the life is very busy in the today's era. Due to this busy life, the interaction between the
peoples has reduced to the large extent, so human gatherings have just decreased.
Due to fewer gatherings, people gaming are just like an addiction for most of the children and
the hardcore gamers. They spend a lot of hours in online as well as on offline games. Thus it
was the important question about the impact of the gaming industry on the social life of
peoples.( Kowert, R,2015)
2. Does so much violence is being needed in games?

WEEK 5 2
There is already so much of violence around us as being seen in news or newspapers. So the
main question arises that in such conditions where we need to prepare the mind set of our
children and them young generation that should be positive and help to bring peace and
harmony in our society, do you think that we need violence in games also.
3. Are games really are the villains for our violent age?
This is also one of the matters of concern according to me, and I think it will be the major
concern for you all also. Have you ever heard about the tragic sandy hook killing after the
gunman was identified as being a fan of the first-person shooter games such as call of duty? If
you know about it, I hope we all don't want this to happen again in the society. (Flanagan,
M,2014)
Conclusion
I have concluded that the gaming industry is impacting on the social life as it is making them
aggressive and are making them violent but It can be improved by creating a peace and harmony
among the society, and they should interact with each other so that the differences between them can
be reduced and they can live with harmony.
