AI Summary
This project management assignment focuses on the application of Gantt and PERT charts to a VOIP project, specifically aimed at improving the efficiency of IT staff within Oracle. The assignment includes a detailed task breakdown, duration, start and finish dates, and predecessors for each task. The report provides an overview of the Gantt chart method, highlighting its advantages in summarizing tasks, costs, and resources, as well as its limitations in clarifying task sequences. The Critical Path Method (CPM) is discussed, emphasizing its role in identifying critical tasks for timely project completion, while acknowledging its lack of cost information. The PERT chart is then introduced as an extension of the CPM, offering insights into start and finish dates, resource allocation, and associated costs, while also noting its complexity. The analysis concludes by emphasizing the effectiveness of Gantt charts and PERT diagrams in scheduling tasks and analyzing activities, ultimately suggesting their utility in planning training and development programs for employees within Oracle.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project management (Gantt and PERT Chart)
Project management is the method on which professionals or decision maker makes
estimation based on scheduling the entire process of the plan. However, there are various tasks
and milestones which has to be set by an individual with reference to make effective planning
based on time, costs, schedules, organising and coordinating activities. In the present assessment
there will be use of Gantt and PERT Chart on which people will have appropriate information
regarding the tasks which will be used in the completion of project. In addition, the plan is based
on increasing the efficiency of IT staff in Oracle which will go through several milestones in a
respective period (Tonchia, 2018). There have been differences between Gantt, CPM and PERT
chart methods in analysing time and cost for activities in a project.

Gantt Chart Method:
This is the method which reflect the tasks on the basis of its number of days and links the
following activities after completion of a particular task. Moreover, it helps in scheduling the
plan, coordinating and redesigning the entire work process (Gantt Chart, 2019). Advantages of
this technique is that it is a summarised diagram which determines the tasks along with its costs
and resources. The drawback is that, it does not clarify which tasks to be followed by a
professional.

Critical Path Method:
In this method there is analysis determination of the critical path of the tasks which will
require less time were highlighted in red colour (Kerzner, 2018). Moreover, if the project planner
emphasis on such tasks than they can complete the project before deadline. The loophole of this
method is, it’s does not present the costs implicated in each activity.

PERT Chart:
This is the unclasped version of Critical path method. Thus, on which individual can have
information regarding the starting date and the finishing date of each activity (Cha, Newman and
Winch, 2018). Moreover, it also considers the resource name as well as costs implied in each
activity. The drawback of this technique is, it’s a complex method which is not being easily
understand by an individual.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
On the basis of above report it can be said that, Project management plan, Gantt chart and
PERT diagram is helpful in analysing the scheduling of tasks as well as analysis over effective
activities which are required to be performed by them. Oracle would have effective plans in
