INTRODUCTION
Global business environment is the common environment of a nation or country which
affects the internal environment or home environment of an organisation by which the decision
making process, the capabilities, resources are affected (Marelli and Testa, 2018) . Business get
affected by various factors which collectively form the environment of business. The factors
which affects the business are political, economic, legal, social and technological factors. Some
of these factors influence the business directly and some of them affects the business indirectly.
The global business environment have benefits but have the drawback too, therefore the present
project report is going to emphasizes on the impact of new general data protection regulation
(GDPR) on Facebook (Safari, 2016) .

The impact of new general data protection regulation (GDPR) on Facebook.
The General data protection regulation (GDPR) is the process and legal structure that
guides for the processing and gathering of personal data and information of a person within the
European Union (EU). This act of government was came into effect on 25 May, 2018. This is
said to be important because this provides the safety and protection of European data subjects
rights ans clarifies the companies which process the personal information. This act has also
affected the Global social firms such as Facebook. This has influenced the Facebook customized
audiences too. The people are uploading their list of email and contact data into Facebook
account in which custom audience makes the individual a data controller. The firm cannot

market them as per the GDPR law (Krystlik, 2017) . The firm is only allowed to market the
audience to have given their consent to them. As it is known by every individual that Facebook is
that social media firm which is used by each person, and that's the main reason behind the
increment in the business growth of Facebook. Therefore it is necessary for the firm to keep their
client data secure, and to keep the data safely on Facebook, the firm need to know all the concept
of GDPR. This is all about protecting the privacy of a person, because many peoples are worried
about losing their privacy and personal information. This has affected the Facebook, because the
firm store, analyse and manage the data (Albrecht, 2016) . Along with this, as an advertiser, who
uses facebook, GDPR also influence them whether they do business in EU or not. Complying
GDPR on Facebook ads is to inform the subscribers that how to use data, even though also this
means that it is essential and necessary for you to show the customers of Facebook their
information whenever they demand the firm to see that. Also by this they can be able to edit and
modify any information whenever they want.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned report, it has been concluded that the individual; should
comply the GDPR when they are using the Facebook ads, as because this will keep us away from
trouble. Along with this, the firm should comply with the law especially when they are dealing in
EU audience. In addition with this, operating a business on global level helps the business
enterprise to expand their business and markets share, and reduce costs and that become more
competitive. Though global business environment can access new customers and markets.
