Gender issue is considered to be one of the major aspects of modern times. People are
very much aware of the concepts like social equality, justice and liberty. However, it is patient to
note that those practices does not have any impact on the beliefs of gender. The current argument
develops a thesis stamen such as ‘is gender discrimination still a problem in the 21st century?’
The entire research is focused on the essay and try to make an argument so that the thesis stamen
can be addressed properly.
According to the research of Verniers and Vala (2018) it can be stated that there is a
widespread notion regarding the significance of gender equality all around the world. There are
plenty of efforts are taken by the political parties, social organisations and the people in person to
make gender equality a success. From the research of Parker and Funk (2017) it can be stated
that the political leaders or the government try to influence the people to take great care of
facilitating a gender equal society. Henceforth, different enactments and regulations are come
into play that shape the process of gender equality. Furthermore, the NGOs and different
international and domestic social organisations are also taken extra care to educate people about
the importance and significance of gender equality. Various campaigns and women
empowerment steps are conducted in the light of making the theoretical approach of gender
equality real. All these efforts have an obvious impact over the society and the popular
perception regarding gender. Even the concept of gender equality transcends to the developing
countries as well. Countries like India, Brazil are taking extra care of preparing the people to
create gender equal society. For instance, both the countries already have female Presidents who
led and guided the entire population.
On the contrary, a pertinent question arises regarding the existence and efficacy of the
