relating to gender discrimination based on the relevant aims and the objectives. Moreover, the

Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Reasons for choosing the project (e.g. links to other subjects you are studying, personal interest,
future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why the topic is important):
The study is been made on workplace discrimination because it is seen as the current issue to
which all the organizations are facing and this in turn affects the performance of an employees.

Section Three: Literature sources searched
In view of the Graham and et.al., (2019), gender discrimination is referred as an inequality in the
process of hiring, compensating, promoting, assigning job and termination of men and women. It
has to be noted that many of the jurisdictions prohibited some kind of the gender discrimination
through forbidding the discrimination on the basis of certain traits.
King and Mackey, (2016), stated that there are various factors that involves gender
discrimination, religion discrimination, ethnic discrimination etc. With respect to gender
discrimination, it has been reflected that men & women in the organization are treated as
differently that could nearly be imperceptible at level of an individual and emerging only when it
is aggregated around individuals.
Moreover, religion discrimination indicates maltreatment in relation to religious
background of an employee. On the other hand, religion discrimination is considered as more
than resisting an explosive or the problematic behaviour, where the momentary needs is putted
on hold in pursuing larger and the more significant goals which means it is an ability in
regulating the distressing effects such as anger, anxiety and inhibiting an emotional impulsivity.
On the other side, ethnic discrimination in a workplace has occurred when an employee is
been treated as differently from the another because of the fact where he or she belongs to a
specific ethnic or having different nationality. The discrimination at the workplace also resulted
due to the unequal pay where men are been pad more salary than women and this in turn dis-
courages the women employees in performing to their best potential.
In the opinion of Rosenblat and et.al., (2017), it has analysed that discrimination prevails

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
Research type- In this study, qualitative method will be used the scholar as it helps in
understanding the qualitative issues relating to gender discrimination in a better way.
Research approach and philosophy- Inductive approach will adopted by an investigator
as it starts with the observations and ends with appropriate findings or inferences in relation to
the topic (Snyder, 2019). Moreover, researcher would be using interpretivism philosophy as it is
considered as best for making the qualitative analysis in respect of effect of the gender inequality
at the workplace on employee's performance.
Data collection- In this report, primary as well as secondary sources will be used for
gathering the information through framing of the questionnaire, direct interview, books, journals
and internet.
Sampling- In this purposive sampling method will be used by an investigator in which an
overall population is not been given an equal chance of being selected and the sample is been
chosen on a random basis. The researcher will take 20 employees of an organization as the
sample.
Data analysis- Thematic analysis would be used by the scholar within which various
themes are been created that reflects the response of the participants. This helps in generating the
study more reliably and useful for the other scholars and the organization.
